Well, I guess you lump everyone into the same category who doesn't agree with you. How convenient and lazy.

No, not everyone who merely disagrees, but I do lump extremist zealots together.

I think they meant Jalen G sucks rather than Suggs, got the wrong man there.

BTW Herb Jones and Donsunmu rising.

Mobley would have the advantage of playing in the Playoffs.

I do not know if the new rankings factor in Playoff performances.

Still pretty firmly in the it’s still early, let’s wait and see camp on Green.

    BUT

I thought by this time we would see a little more. Seems his only ability in the half court is using his speed to get by the first defender, but it hasn’t resulted in much good after he accomplishes that.

Seems his confidence is shaken as well. Seemed more comfortable earlier in the year.

he will likely put in one of the worst statistical seasons for a dude averaging 30+mpg ever.

    That's clearly not good.

But he'll put in a great game here soon and twitter will be like "aha, he's young blah blah blah...."

All i care about is what type of player he is in yr 2 now. Superstar is out of the realm of possibility for me. I will say that 100% firmly, so hopefully i can be proven wrong!

If you watched basketball for any significant amount of time, you should know by now that players don't magically change in year 2. He is who he is.

You think you're doing that but most often you don't really offer anything to the conversation besides "Green is the worst player, etc". I think most fans on this board know he's not very good right now, I think what ppl want is to engage in constructive criticism of what he and other rookies can work on to reach their potential. Furthermore, you speak about his game as if this is the final product of what Green is going to be as a player.

that's not true. i can look just to Tyrese Maxey last year for example, whose 3pt % went from 30% to 40% this year.
Heck, Steve Nash put in a 47% true shooting % his THIRD year, which is worse than Jalen's this year.
CWood wasn't a serviceable NBA player until he was 23.

There's countless examples of players improving. There's a whole award for it!!

But indeed, the idea of going from one of the worst season's ever to an all star or something... is EXTREMELY rare.

    It be what it be...

That's the injection of reality. When his ridiculous cult start blaming all of his struggles on anyone and everyone else in the world and claiming he's being held back or that he's actually doing well, it's important to remember that his cultists are morons.

When you say stupid things like "you speak about his game as if this is the final product", it lets me know you don't actually read any of the things I've been saying and are merely reflexively screeching "REEEEEE", upset that I pointed out that your hero looks terrible right now.

Silas worded that poorly, speaking almost too glowingly about Mobley.

He should have just said their guy is good but we like our guy better.

If you watched basketball, you'd realise how much of a bullshit statement you just made. Kyle Lowry was drafted in 2006, became an all-star in 2015 and had multiple appearances after that. Jimmy Butler wasn't much in his first 2 seasons. Draymond wasn't **** his first 2 seasons. This "he is what he is" is actually pure bullshit. The vast majority of all stars and top tier players don't get there in their first season, what the **** are you even talking about?

edit: can't believe I forgot about this one.

    Giannis Year 2 (first year as a starter): 12.7ppg, 6.7reb, 0.9 steal, 1 block, 31mpg.
    Giannis Year 3: 16.9ppg, 7.7reb, 1.2 steal, 1.4 block 35.4mpg

Remind me again, how many MVP awards does Giannis have?

    What happened?

It's a game of adjustments. Expect the bad and the good and keep adjusting. Sometimes it looks like that and sometimes it doesn't. All is not lost.

The ups and downs of a rookie season for somebody who played less than 20 games last year and still has a small frame relative to his height/athleticism. I'm more concerned about how idiotic some of the takes about Green are than Green himself. It's like people have never watched basketball before.

Why do people always go to the outliers rather than the norm to make a point?

Giannas is an athletic freak - a tall long TWITCH athlete.

Green's ONLY advantage is his frontline speed he is subpar on everything else.....he can get there but he needs a LOT of fundamental work first.

Wow, I must be missing a lot of games if his hops are sub par, or his first step, or his ability to create space. The athleticism in the league must have taken a HUGE jump if those attributes are now considered "sub par." Come on DD, you're better than this (I think.)
