Jalen Green to participate in dunk contest

I'd actually be interested in seeing a side by side comparison of their hops. They're basically the same height but god damn do they fly. Reminds me of a Cavs game I saw years ago in Lebron's first run where he leapt out of the building to catch a wayward pass. Very few players have that level of athleticism where it actually surprises you how high they fly.

After he wins the dunk contest. I want to see him enter the 3 point shooting contest like Lavine.

 

Out of curiosity, where's Keon Johnson? I thought he'd be able to jump up and sit on the rim.

Excited to watch him, sounds fun.

 

We definitely know he isn’t competing in the skills or three point shooting contests.

All things being square, KMJ should have gotten the call instead.

 

Hopefully he follows in the lineage of Kobe, T-Mac, Jordan, and even Zach Lavine as guys who are really good but can dunk well, rather than Jeremy Evans, Fred Jones, and Derrick Jones Jr. as scrubs who won

 

Could be worse though. He could be the kind of pathetic person who never made it to the league and is so bitter that they're a member of a fan site but would rather be mired in negativity than root for their team and it's players. Imagine how absolutely tragic that would be? Pure omega, little dick energy for sure.

 

Well, if he ain't going to win ROTY at least he can win the damn dunk contest.

The opponents are the only reason to go to the games these days.

 

Good for Jalen to build his brand. Superstar calls will come with the fame. I'm hype for him, but dunk contests are mostly cringe now. Props and choirs. If he's gotta go all out, i hope he does some kind of flashy disco or Michael Jackson 70s funk and a wild hairstyle- something unique and fun and comes out and actually delivers.

Can we get Garrison in the dunk contest?


Rockets fans truly disgust me, though. This place was rockin this past summer. Now it's a depressing and negative **** show with annoying pop up ads. We peaked at SL.

 

This is gonna be fun! Will be the first dunk contest I’ll watch since Gordon/Lavine!

Only bummer is that KMJ didn’t make it. Seriously? Not even over Juan Toscanini-Anderson? If I recall correctly the last time teammates were in the dunk contest together was Tmac and Vince. Would’ve been nice to see Jalen Green and the Martian

 

Honestly, who cares?

If it helps his confidence then fine....but the dunk contest is Never Watch TV for me.
