Didn't read the original post. Was the plan to have a horrible draft, and then be the laughing stock of the league?
Stone needs to adjust his plan and bring legit and proven development coaches. Brett Brown not only a Pop disciple but he was credited for unearthing and then developing many of their key role players during Spurs heyday. https://www.poundingtherock.com/202...rown-nba-san-antonio-spurs-philadelphia-76ers
Indeed. However, look at all the megasized, puffed up contracts given historically by non-destination franchises.
Was part of the plan for a some people to panic and go batshit crazy after 2/3 of a season into a 3-4 year rebuild?
Soon down the road i hope this team can learn defense and have less turnover ratios. But right now there just trying to score and get up and down play up to alot of teams with lack of real experience. They are just too young yet to beat experience teams. But as far as things go, there not bad young team. I think a few more draft picks, but as far Cwood, if he doesn't turn into what houston wants in a Center then he might have to walk elsewhere. But i think as a 20-10 guy he not a bad keeper, but if he wants max money then they might want to look elsewhere. I have not seen him yet, now things may change because hes still young. But i guess they need to either find out if he can be a real time Center. He looks to just be a typical 4, thats really a Tweener SF tbh, who lacks defense. He fits as small foward in design. So i dont know if he is worth keeping if he is what he is. I would probably keep him only if he takes far less contract . Yet hoping the rockets somehow draft a big center like Jalen Duran and mix him around wood if he stays. If Wood doesnt improve his defense, you might let him walk. Rockets should sign 2 max contracts and fill out the bench around Green, Duran, Porter and have Segun come off the bench. But when they sign there 2 max players, maybe this summer, and another in 2023 summer. Should be a good plan. But you probably envision this team by 2024 to finally jell and make splash in the playoffs.
I think if they can find one superstar, one star, and one good bench player (6th man type) in last year and next year's draft combined then they have great framework and salary cap to add a couple more stars.
I'm more inclined to keep KPJ. He has shown a lot more than Green... I'm worried Green could be Evan Turner bad... Not sure on the free agents you're citing. I looked up the list on spotrac. Maybe there's a player option? So far I'm looking pretty good on the prediction...
