I think for the most part it's going to be a year or so of laughing at people like you for denying the obvious for as long as possible before then lashing out at people for "stating the obvious" once you can no longer deny it anymore.

nothing apollo said seemed hateful. in fact, your response to him was more contentious than his comment towards Green

    TRUTH

Great effort does not equal good or even average defense.

Even Steph can bump Jalen off his body with ease.

Sit tight, you’ll get some opportunities to gloat at some point, I hope. That seems to be important for you.
just sit tight and don’t fabricate sht. The time will come to "pwn the h8ters" or whatever infantile stuff preoccupies your mind.

It is kind of sad reading many of the posts on this thread. Fans want the Rockets to do well. They hope Green will be worthy of the number two pick. BUT, he is failing virtually every metric of potential "stardom." Fans are now debating if he is even NBA caliber. Personally, I am shocked at his lack of basic basketball skills. What's his history? Who coached him? Did he play in high school? How did NBA scouts get it so wrong? Does anyone really believe that Green is just off to a slow start and is a future NBA star? I am seeing someone who needs to go to the G League or a basics basketball camp. He definitely should not be starting, not even close. He needs to be shipped somewhere before his confidence is totally destroyed. OJT is NOT the ticket in this case.

Dude said that Green should draw more fouls like Kevin Martin. Kevin Martin didnt "start drawing more fouls" until year 3. What is so hard to understand about that? JFC it may be easier to just play dodgeball with some of you.

I think this is still all a little reactive. We are circling back on the same arguments.

Am I retrospectively bitter at not picking #1? Yes.

Am I impressed by Mobley? Absolutely.

Am I left wanting by Green. Yes on both sides of the court.

Have I seen enough from Green to understand why he ended up at #2? Yes.

There are some positives. Hard to see at times though.
    1. The athletic profile is uber elite.
    2. There have been flashes of him making plays and hitting tough shots.
    3. I think he is learning.. A small example is that I have noticed the last few games he is cradling the ball as he goes to pick up his dribble on his drives.

As well, I personally dont think we are putting him in a great position a lot of the time. I am still optimistic but I think we will have to wait the offseason to see a big improvement.

None of this is on Jalen Green. He really does want to be great and he does have special athleticism.

But either Stone is completely incompetent or he sold all of us fake bill of goods. Green was nowhere ready to make immediate impact and his lack of skills should have been glaring to the real NBA experts.

Stone blatantly ignored his analytics team and shat the bed on this franchise altering pick

And Stone is about to make another such pick.

Will he put Rockets in a hole too deep to climb out of? Two consecutive top 5 draft failures would make us the next Sacramento Kings.

Yeah but we know he's a shooting guard who can't shoot just from his regular percentages. He's going to have hot nights and those points do count.

Anyways just seemed odd to me why we're analyzing his shooting this way. Overall he's shooting exactly what you'd expect from a guy who shot 36% on medium volume in the g league last season.

I don't get it, why does Green need to wait 3 years to learn to draw fouls like Kevin Martin. He should do so now, it's one of the things he's good at which is ft's.

It's something he can learn to incoporate into his game, why does it matter that Martin sucked his first 2 seasons.

You want a year 1 player to develop the veteran savvy necessary to draw fouls like that in 50 some odd games based entirely on body composition? Drawing fouls is a skill. Its not something you learn watching film. Green is averaging 3.6 FTA per game which puts him somewhere around the top 50 players in the league. One day he will be doing what you expect him to do today i fully believe that. I know its fun and edgy to high five his struggles right now and make suggestions, but there has to be a requisite level of reality in those ideas if they are really genuine.

Drafting the dunk contest winner >>>>> Pistons, Cavs, Raptors drafting basketball players

Ruhfell playing chess, those other teams playing checkers!

He hasn't won yet, he has to actually make the dunks to win. With his fg%, that's not a guarantee
