He’ll be fine once he gets stronger. In the meantime, Christopher should be getting more of those minutes.

Put him back in G League and you'll see that guy again.

G League is not the NBA, NBA actually plays pro defense.

We hear a lot about the legendary work ethic of Jalen Green, which played no small part in getting him picked #2. Was that all PR bullsht or what? Because, if his work ethic is so great, name a single thing he’s good at on the basketball court. What exactly has he been working on all these years?

I mean isn’t he 6’6 and lanky(lul yea right)? Why is it that all the other rookies doing well don’t need to put on weight and get stronger as an excuse for their piss poor play? Did Green not have the same weight training equipment growing up as the other top prospects? Because if he did, why the hell did he show up to the draft 175lbs? Where was the work ethic to get his ass in shape all these years? The scouts in Houston didn’t put that thought into their models when convincing themselves all the “intangibles” Green has?

To be honest I think you could easily make a similar highlight reel of his days in the NBA. Highlight reels just rarely tell the whole story. What happened? I don‘t really know, if it is fatigue, if it is mental or if it is him tweaking his shot. But I definetly believe part of the problem is the way he is used on the team. Silas is not making it easy form him - and I believe you should make it as easy as possible for your rookies.

You do realise there's video evidence of his work ethic right? Literally in this thread, videos of him working out for hours after practice and games. Sure, he's playing badly, but you really don't have to try and create false narratives.

There's actually a really simple answer, he only picked up this work ethic just before the g league bubble.

For example he improved his shooting to a g league 36%, he was certainly a worse shooter than that pre g league. So he started the NBA season at 25% which is a logical conversion and more recently he's in the early 30's range.

That bubble was 20 games and it looks like Shaw's entire ignite squad was ill prepared for the NBA. So that didn't help much, but in several interviews he mentioned that he wished he had a longer season and he knew he had to get stronger.

Since he changed his work ethic, there have been several people who brought up his work ethic without being asked about it. Shaw, Brown, Amir Johnson, Stone, Silas, and even his draft profiles.

There's more definitive proof though, you can just compare him early next season to this season. It's not like he's going to put on muscle or transform his 3pt shot mid season lol. If he has no work ethic, he probably won't improve much right, so we're going to find out.

Seems an odd bone to pick with a pretty obviously hard working 19 year old kid that gives 100% and plays for your favorite team.

The best part about drafting Green is without a doubt when he's subbed out of the game.

I hate Tilman so much, I said out of spite i'd laugh if we lost our pick.

Now I think keeping it and picking Green was in fact the worst option for Tilman.

This is like getting to Professor Oaks office. And you pick the stupid leaf eating pokemon instead of a bad ass fire or water cannon OG.

Full credit to whoever his PR team is. All it takes is duping one idiot. And that idiot happened to be the Rockets GM.

Though the funny thing is, that stupid leaf dinosaur’s final evolution was the most viable competitively for a long time...so I see it as a sign that Jalen Green will be the best player in a few years. #teambulbasaur

    Hahaha.
To be fair I'm basing my comments on how bad ass Charizard and Blastoise looked. Venusaur was an obese stupid looking flower dinosaur.

I can’t explain it but to me the totality of Green’s impact is way worse than the sum of his game’s skill components would indicate. He does a lot of things reasonably well but when he’s on the floor we look more terrible than when he’s off the fooor.

I’d say he’s the polar opposite of someone like Isiah Hartenstein: a certified clutz with no skills, yet somehow his team looks better when he plays. Watch some Clips games and tell me you don’t get that feeling.

Given a bigger sample size I think his G League 3 pt shooting would be matching the percentages he’s putting up now.

He had a hot 5 game stretch in the G league from 3 but shot 24.6% in the other 11 games (including the playoff game). He had his hot 4 game stretch in the NBA but has shot…get ready for it…24.8% from 3 in all the other 30 NBA games.
