Honestly truck drivers as a group are incredibly ignorant. There are exceptions but the level of stupidity is high.

 

The gov (on both sides of the borders) should remove the mandate for vaccination for truck drivers. The mandate was put in place before Omicron with vaccine exemption set to expire on 1/15 (on the Canadian side) and 1/22 (on the US side). Three reasons for removing the mandate. The business of truck drivers does not usually involve meeting people indoors. We have a supply issue - up to 20% (on the Canadian side) aren't vaccinated and we shouldn't put more pressure on supply constraints. 80% vaccinated is pretty good.

These protesters aren't helping themselves with this crap. Can't believe the lack of shame in demanding meals from soup kitchen.

I understand and agree with the frustration with your situation with your children. I can't imagine how pissed off I would have been.

We can't get more than 65% of the USA vaccinated (adults, last I heard), so I really don't have all that much sympathy for people in places that require more and have some blowback.
