I don't remember JC shooting a single mid range this season, If anything he's the definition of 3 and layups.

He wants people believing JG is more one time All Star starter Andrew Wiggins than any of the other promising players on that list. Only his narrative doesn't hold water as two of the best all time players on said list also happened to be turnover prone early on.

@BamBam how soon should we expect JG to make his first all star game given your influence?

What an uncharitable way of looking at it. I can tell you definitely want to discuss this in good faith.

Honestly if he ends up as good as Wiggins it'll be a win.

The rest of the players on that list are out of the question

How are they out of the question? Is there no room for growth/development? Players have vastly different trajectories. This isn't some exact science here. This is prove it time for JG. This is what people should be excited about. He's supposedly the kid with the tireless work ethic and yet many on here have already preordained him to be this or that before he's had his first off-season to work on his skills, body and overall game. It's wild. Low key, I love it though. Heroes are born from chaos. All part of the journey.

I actually feel better that Silas is focusing on the same things Clutchfans have been saying for the last several months. Now if he could just take our advice on rotations.

Agreed with this. Green has significantly improved his 1 on 1 defense as the season has gone on. At the beginning of the season you had guys bullying Green... now they're targeting Mathews

Okay guys we've reached the limit of Jalen Green positivity posts for one day. Now we must resume the normal programming of hate, slander and inventing narratives. (I kinda hope he has a bad game tonight just to watch their heads melt!!)

I feel like Green will eventually reach his potential...whatever that is.(All Star) Regardless of who we wanted, let's come together, and hold this kid tight...

He actually shot more midrange (10' - 3P) than Harden's last full year in Houston.

11% of Green's shots were midrange so far this season, compared to Harden's 2% in 2019-20.

I couldn't believe Harden's numbers until I looked it up. He practically totally abandoned the midrange.

I see you’re still buthurtt of getting caught in a deliberate fabrication and are trying to deflect now.

    There’s a huge difference between:
    1. a guy glancing through a list and missing a few names AND then immediately correcting himself
    2. a guy deliberately copy-pasting an old scouting report, misrepresenting it as "pre-draft’ AND continuing to dig-in and gaslight when caught.
    huge difference!

You’re free to post your juvenile act here as much as you want, it won’t change how basic ethics and decency work.

Here is the thing, and why I believe the Green draft pick was a mistake.

Green and KPJ are the same type of player, both need the ball, both are not all that great off the catch and shoot, and both are developing.

So, instead of drafting a 7' complimentary player to help KPJ develop, you draft a like player who is about 2 years behind the player already developing.

Now, that is fine if you don't believe in KPJ, so if that is the case, why is KPJ still here? Green should be getting all the touches, instead, you create a situation where both players are developing for basically the same SG position, and you don't get a player who compliments them and protects the rim and can switch and play 5 positions.

It just doesn't make any sense.

    1. Draft Green - get rid of KPJ
    2. Keep KPJ - Draft Mobley

Those are the only 2 scenarios which make any sense......the org is like flailing away, in muck and mire - without an actual goal/plan - that is what it looks like to me.

Green should have never been the number 2 pick, he is not developed enough, he should have been 8 ish or lower - with as far away as his game is.....like Donovan Mitchell was etc....especially when you have a guy who is identical as a player already developing.

Doesn't give me a lot of faith in Stone.

while it’s true that Mitchell was considered raw pre-draft, he had a dynamite rookie year, unlike Green.
The optimistic scenario is more a guy like DeRosan who was very raw pre-draft and took several years to develop skills.

Again, number 2 picks should be NBA ready at the start, not guys that are 2-3 years from being good, I mean Ja Morant was a number 2 pick, Kevin Durant a number 2 pick......if you are going for long term development, move down in the draft.

The main thrust was you will need to choose between Green and KPJ - they are redundant pieces.
