    This could be great.

Not even a Halo player but I have liked a lot of the animated movies hopefully they can make it look as good as The Expanse.

The Halo live-action TV series is a go at Showtime. The 10-episode series, which will begin filming in Budapest in Fall 2019, takes place during “an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant,” weaving “deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future,” according to a statement by the network.

Awake creator Kyle Killen will act as showrunner, along with Steven Kane (The Last Ship), who will oversee production in Budapest while Killen manages writing and producing the show stateside, according to THR. Otto Bathurst (Black Mirror) will direct the pilot and several other episodes. Showtime is making the series in collaboration with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment.

In the latest news, Showtime’s Halo is set to begin production in Budapest this month, also adding more to its cast (which you can read about just below).

I watched one of those yt compilations where they compress the entire series.

Story is so convoluted and needs a big overhaul.

But I think people would be satisfied if it was a Starship Troopers reboot...

It's been in production for awhile but they finally got a premiere date and a home.

I had not heard anything about it.

I think ST is perfect but a continuation update would be welcome.

I’ll soon be paying just as much for these damn streaming services as I was for cable.

I saw that earlier and please god don't let Paramount **** this up.

Been waiting for a cool Halo/Master Chief thing for a long time.

    Or Metroid, whichever.

Has sort of a Star Trek/Stargate vibe.

I've not played the game but saw the trailer yesterday during halftime of the Bengals Chiefs game. The main thing that struck me was that the graphics look very much like the video game and not very good considering the technology we have. I'm wondering if that is deliberate to keep it looking like the game or if they are still in production and are still working on the graphics.
