Probably trying to build muscle memory for his new form first

His new form or his new old form.

Not sure which one he's using these days per Silas.

    Agreed.

There are too many on CF and Rockets Nation who either hate or simply fail to appreciate how good MDA really was, including the ownership.

The vids look way smoother than his earlier shooting form if that helps any. One of the ones posted in another thread looked so consistent on back to back shots it could be mistaken for a looped clip. I think his issues are way more confidence/mental based than any actual inability to shoot. Seeing so many of these vids where he's smoothly knocking down 3 after 3 should be more than enough to show people their assertions that he's a bad shooter are way off base.

How many Rockets players in past have used it -outside of CP3 …. We all see Harden now starting to go back to it in NJ … look at Green G League games and how differently he is playing … stand on court opposite ball and pray Wood EG or KPJ don’t forget about you for 8-9minutes at a time

It's crazy, he's an awesome coach. In fact, he's so awesome a coach that my 2 friends from PHX used to always root for us in his years as our coach because they loved him that much and were living vicariously through his successes with Harden. I don't think it's that typical for people to always root for an ex coach of their team.

Less worried about his shooting form or confidence than I am with his lack of physicality (less the strength rather the willingness) and having zero bag.

His consistent straight line to crowded rim is confusing AF.

His natural body control and ability to hang mid air should give him many more options in his shot arsenal.

And even for someone with his quickness, he really needs to add some change of direction and change of speed to his toolbox.

His lack of length could be primary reason why adjustment to NBA skills, speed, size and physicality is taking so long.

And he is not dumb but would not consider him to have high basketball IQ.

There you go talking out of your ass again.

It's okay to laud one without shetting on another.

No one in history of NBA would EVER describe D'Antoni as ****.

Only you and some select lower forms on CF.

Not sure I can agree there. D'Antoni has 2 COTY awards over 2 different teams, Adelman has none. D'Antoni also coached championship teams in Europe and his style redefined the way NBA basketball is played, not sure Adelman can claim the same. Adelman has a better overall winning record and I loved him as our coach and those scrappy underpowered teams. I'd still give the nod to Mike personally.

Adelman actually took his POR team to two NBA Finals (both losses) which D'Antoni has never reached.

But Mike not only won SEVENTEEN championships as a player, he also won SEVEN championships as a HC, in Europe.

And Mike not only is credited with being a trailblazer for today's NBA but was also officially honored as one of 50 Greatest Contributors in History of Euroleague.

Mike D'Antoni is a living legend and his haters are stupid AF.

    Preach!
I've learned that there are some people on here that seek to be positive about the team and that is enjoyable to them, others prefer to bash whoever they can and that is what gives them joy. The third group is the one that like to lament about the players the rockets woulda coulda shoulda had. It be interesting to see how similar the personalities are of people who fall in these categories

Depending on the day, I think I've waffled between all three at one time or another. It's a spectrum. I guess even older folks can be 'non binary' or is it 'non-teriary'. Too many categories nowadays. :D:eek::p

Sorry but CJ's game is not anything to write home about. Literally the last thing Green needs in his game is taking mid range jumpers. Save that for year 6 or 7 when he's got the more important stuff down.

Work on Jalens 3 ball and Euro step, will be a better player than CJ in a couple of years.

It's also amazing how roles have switched on CF.

Posters who used to bag on Harden/Morey/MDA ad nauseum while Rockets were challenging for championships have become the kumbaya singers and strongest supporters of the FO/ownership/coach/certain new players during Rockets most historically putrid era.

    And vice versa.
