2022 Texans Coaching Search

How many times have other teams not just the Texans passed on him now??

Even Ryan poles got hired and he’s from the chiefs organization and didn’t even interview Eric b once.

 

Of these head coaches candidate remaining, I believe Brian Flores is best one yet. I don’t know why Texans did not give Flores a second interview.

 

KOC, Gannon and Flores. In that order for me.
Flores would be on top if he wasn’t attached to trying to keep Watson on the team.

I just don’t want to listen to all the perverted Watson fans talk about how they have a chance to keep him with Flores around

I wonder if it’s not McCown that they are trying to attach him to the new staff in some capacity?

 

That’s exactly what’s happening and I can see KOC and McCown working together they used to be teammates.

Man, I really want KOC.

Nobody else we have interview really does much for me. I would have liked us to interview Mayo as well, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen (easterby and patriots connections yeah yeah i know, i still think he would be a good hire).

Demeco would be a dream candidate too.

I just can't get on board with Flores. I can't. His resume is remarkably similar to OB after 3 years, on and off the field per reports. Although he did do it with a team that was supposed to be rebuilding. Idk, maybe I could talk myself into it, but the thought of hiring him makes me cringe.

 

I don't have confidence in any of the listed candidates outside Flores when it comes to getting through to the current players and players to come. This organization still has to catch up to 2022 and the generational culture of today. Stop ignoring what really matters in conjunction to this specific organization's problem. Laughing stock of the league. Rebrand yourself with a leader that demands respect and will actually get the right players to follow and lead by example. Not in a stupid interview but in real life and on GameDay.

Flores is a drill sergeant, rubbed people the wrong way continuously. What about that says he can reach players better than a 36 year old former QB?

Generational culture? He’s more old school than anything remotely connected to new culture.
