Chet is poor iso defender but very effective PNR defender due to IQ and length. But he will struggle as post defender vs even NBA thicc wings because of his ultra rail thin physique.
Chet makes Jalen look cut. It's a bit worrisome. Green has the body to be able to pack on some pounds and muscle, eventually. Chet's frame is just so freakin' thin. He looks like he'd snap like a twig down low in the Association.
Tall skinny guys usually don't fair well in the NBA. The history of injuries is long and hard. In fact, the only really super tall guy that had longevity was Shaq and he was a freak of nature. Sampson, Bradley, Oden, Walton, Bowie, and even Yao all had their careers cut short by leg injuries.
Agreed. And he would still the best defender between him, Green and Sengun on floor together. Kind of scary.
Neither Shaq or Yao were "skinny". And there is diff between soft skinny and tough skinny. Tough skinny are guys who are more physical and durable, e.g. KG, Durant, Giannis even Mobley.
The hate would be thru the roof if I was right. Or wrong. In all seriousness, 2022 will not be nearly as good a draft as 2021. 2023 will be better but still not as good or as deep as 2021.
There are entire threads devoted to discussing the draft, too, if you want to join in : https://bbs.clutchfans.net/forums/2022-nba-draft.15/
A) played in the pre-modern era of basketball B) Not skinny guys (maybe you could make the case for Kareem but still)
I'm ready for Chet or Jabari . Also ready for the season or 2 that it will take for Chet to adjust to the league.
