Hate to make excuses but Silas is a problem. Would rather have the RGV coach - whoever that is.

Slow lateral quickness, Not a great athlete, not very long and he gambles.

He does have pretty good anticipation in the passing lanes and forcing offensive fouls and he always plays hard.

Definitely a spot on the team for him but like I said a looooong time ago when the Garry hype train started, he shouldn't be taking away court time from any of the young guards or wings.

25 team assists is pretty good, but 17 turnovers is pretty bad.

    Still work to do.

I didn't get to watch the game but saw all of Green's assists and TOs(which were all from attempted assists) via nba.com and it looked like he did a great job finding guys tonight - even of his 3 TOs, one was Tate fumbling a pass, and the other was just a great defensive reaction from Covington. If he can be a 5-6 assists a game guy consistently and improve his shooting consistency, I think he becomes a significantly more valuable player. His reads on switches seem to be correct - he just needs to get better at seeing the whole floor because a few times I think he missed relatively open players because a defender sagged but he's not reading those players as open because there is no screening action around it.

Silas has completely abandoned any pretense of defense.

Defense has been st8 ass for months.

    Worst in the NBA.

Silas name will be etched in Rockets franchise history for some of the worst shyte imaginable.

Even suffering from migraine, Wood was clearly best player on Rockets tonight.

Too bad Silas decided to go away from him in the 4th.

Game was still within reach of a W when he was subbed out at end of 3rd.

And yet Mathews was at minimum the SECOND best most efficient player in tonight's game.

And it's not like GM hasn't led team in scoring in multiple games.

Also 50% from 3P tonight, Silas maybe should have worked harder to get him the ball in 4th.

GM intangibles are off the charts, the little things he consistently does in games contributes to winning basketball.

    Killian Hayes: 3-8 11 PTS 6 REB 6AST 1 STL 2 BLK 0 TO
The beginning of the Killian Hayes Experience? :)

That’s the thing with talented high pick underperformers: they’ll tease a semi-decent game or a stretch every now and then and you think it’s starting to happen. Marvin Bagley had a 25pt game against us, as another example…

That’s why high pick busts linger around the league for years and years. Darko Milicic spent 8-9myears in the league…

Jalen may turn it around, hopefully, but a single semi-decent game is not it. The bust scenario is still pretty much on the table.

You're reaching massively comparing Green to Darko. Darko averaged less than 2 PTS and 2 reb game in his first season and 6 PTS and 4 rebounds a game for his career. Makes you look either crazy or stupid if you think there's any comparison to be made tbh.

Yeah don’t understand why he wasn’t already called up for this game. Augustine is horrible and even if he was decent what’s the point?

Absolutely there is a comparison to be made, you’re clueless!

Darko didn’t play in his rookie year, he was deep-benched on the eventual NBA champion!
Jalen Green[s counting stats are meaningless, as he’s being force-fed minutes on a terrible team. When you normalize for usage, etc. Jalen Green is the worst rookie and the worst player in NBA right now. If he doesn’t improve from here he will be a Darko-level bust, absolutely no question about it!

The case for Green is that his first step and jumping ability will eventually translate into production. The case for Darko was that his size and strength would eventually translate, that’s why he stuck around for 8-9 years.

I’m not making bets or predictions, but the probability of a Darko-level bust is absolutely on the table, you’re a total moron if you don’t see it.
