Portland is definitely gonna have to consider rebuilding around Simons this offseason

 

Only bad thing was EGo having a meh game. Gonna need him to pick it up a bit before the trade deadline.

 

I dunno, we looked like we had a slim chance for a while there. Against a real playoff team we don't look like we have a real chance, because we're a legit bottom feeder. Still, I enjoyed the game.

 

Chet and Jovic are my dream picks this draft.

He's a rhythm player. Every scouting report before he even entered the NBA shows he is more effective with the ball in his hands than a catch and roll/shoot player

 

Yea. Think he scored today than his last two games combined

 

I miss RoCo.

Guy always gave us timely saves and extra plays on defense.

btw rim protector may not be the solution because this season alpi has blocked a lot of shots only to be followed by a putback dunk or layup because other players could secure the rebound... theres no substitute for the team defense

I can almost see it with Gary for the circus shots and how willing he is to put his body on the line. No way in hell should Brooks be getting minutes before Josh, he's not even close to as good or versatile a player.

I know this might not be a popular take on here because I've gotten negative feedback on this comment but Mathews is our worst 1 on 1 defender and as the season goes on teams are going to start attacking him more. Fortunately for him, he is one of our best off ball defenders and has ice in his veins from 3

 

It's weird. It's almost as if Jalen plays better when KPJ isn't playing at all.

I think rather that they were going to McCollum and Mathews was defending him. It was probably the right choice, but McCollum is a good scorer.

 

There's no question if you take away all of the competent players, Green might be able to pad his stats a bit. I could see wanting that if your primary goal was Green having padded stats and the team losing literally every game.
