I wasn't aware of those women...how many are there that didn't bring civil suits but have filed criminal complaints?

    I've read 5.

If convicted he should get 3 years for each of those women and what he was convicted of doing.

Based purely on what I could peruse from that Tweet, it appears that:

    1) The person being questioned clearly does not want to be pulled into some sort of sex trafficking charge

    2) If, and its a big if, the only issue is that Watson paid for a massage but then requested sex, that is not sexual assault. It may not even be chargeable as solicitation of prostitution.

This whole thing is sordid, and is why I have said from the beginning that they need to trade this dude and move on. Sometimes, the deal that is on the table is the only deal that is available, and you have to take it.

That's not the only issue..the allegations in the petitions that have been filed are more than that.

Is this the first that we are hearing that there was a person that worked closely with the Texans that was helping to schedule these massages? I don't remember reading about that previously. And I get that a person can plead the 5th for a number of different reason, but it certainly doesn't look good for Watson that they wouldn't answer a single question. Definitely looks like there is something to hide there.

It also doesn't look good for any potential culpability on the part of the Texans if it can ultimately be shown that they knew about any of it.

This is just Buzbee trying to put public pressure on Watson to settle on his terms. Watson's attorney is Rusty Hardin and he knows how to play this game as well which is why this has dragged out this long.

This is what I think as well. Buzbee's trying to selectively release details to pressure a settlement from Watson. I don't think he really wants to take this to trial because there's not enough evidence. And we're at the end of January...I wonder what's going on with that grand jury investigation that's supposed to be wrapping up now. It's funny how every time Buzbee releases some information, a bunch of people automatically assume Watson's done for without taking the time to think critically and realize that Buzbee is playing a game of smoke and mirrors.

pleading the 5th is not an admission of anything, it's just being smart

On the flip-side, if this truly was just smoke and mirrors, would then be fairly easy for Watson to defiantly deny everything, be pro-active in his defense, and try and control the narrative.

Every time one side says something... the other side comes up and says something that also causes some head scratching. Watson wants everybody to settle... and is willing to pay money for "peace"... but also will refuse to admit any potential involvement with anything "scandalous".

I just think that if there were any real merit to these allegations we would've seen criminal charges filed a lot sooner and the NFL would've placed him on the exempt list. We're now a year into this thing and criminal charges have yet to be filed. I could be wrong, but it just confirms to me that these are a bunch of baseless allegations concocted by Tony Buzbee. I think his whole goal is to create a PR nightmare for Watson to force him to settle for "peace." And afterwards Buzbee gets to boast about how much money he made for his clients and how he's a proponent of women during the "Me Too" era. You'll see that in his campaign ads whenever he decides to run for political office again. This doesn't completely absolve Watson, because he probably was trickin', but I don't think these women were forced to do anything they didn't want to do. Just go back and read the allegations filed in court. Some women admit in the complaints that they saw him multiple times even though on the first occasion he was inappropriate and let him cross boundaries that no real massage therapist would allow. When the accusers were made to identify themselves Buzbee accused Watson of scrubbing his social media accounts but the accusers were also doing the same thing.

I don’t think there’s anything criminal. But Watson likely has a sex addiction that he is unwilling to admit.

Honestly, things could have probably been settled by now had he simply gone that route.

"You see the mob takes the Fifth," Trump said during one rally in Iowa. "If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?"
