Am i the only one who would still take Cade number 1 and wouldn’t really even think twice? While it’s possible, it’s pretty unlikely mobley will ever be the offensive engine for an elite offense, and that’s still by far the most important skill
ROY rankings look back and tell you what has happened. With a re-draft, we’re focused on the future and what is to come for each.

Evan Mobley and Cade Cunningham
1. Detroit Pistons
Evan Mobley
(Originally selected No. 3 by the Cleveland Cavaliers)

Mobley clearly has a higher ceiling than Cunningham.

Mobley started the season hot and continues to be awesome for a rookie, especially on the defensive end, where his unique combination of length, size and agility make him the seventh-ranked defender in the NBA (minimum 1,000 minutes), according to RAPTOR, FiveThirtyEight’s player-rating metric. By that measure, Mobley is in the same league as Draymond Green and ahead of Giannis Antetokounmpo this season.

He can defend everywhere, and he brings such a unique physical profile to the table that he feels like the type of prospect that comes along only a couple of times in a generation.

Offensively Mobley has been pretty good, but not great. He moves the ball well but he’s still figuring out his stretch game, shooting just 30.5% from 3-point range. If he ever gets that into the 38-40% range, he may be as unbeatable as he is on the defensive end.
Sengun obvious saving grace of Stone's draft.

Personally, if it were up to me and a redraft could be done, I don't think Green would be taken at all. Seems like a "professional" basketball player should know how to play........"basketball!"

Just a reminder ...

Past RoY winners include Emeka Okafor, Mike Miller, and ...
Wait for it ...
Michael Carter-Williams

Let's not throw Green in the trash just yet

However ... many more weeks watching him shoot 20% from the field and 10% from three and I'm adding Ivey to my Rockets draft board

I would take Cade #1

Cade has always been the type of player that I love and enjoy watching the most…the tall, lanky, highly skilled guy that can do everything

I’ve watched more Pistons games this year than the past 5 years combined

I mean with playing time Sengun probably would be 1 or 2 on that list easy....

You keep saying this but I have yet to see that otherwordly quick step or this exceptional vertical.

Nate Robinson had exceptional vertical and D Rose had one of the 5 quickest 1st steps and Green is not on that level IMO, if I am wrong about that he has done very little with those supposedly top 5 attributes.

Being 20ppg scorer really means very little if those points don't contribute to winning or don't come in crunch time.

I keep coming back to Morant who actually has one of the quickest 1st steps and is an otherworldly athlete, Green has not flashed like Morant did as a rookie.

I would not really care as much about his Jumper if he has showed the ability to score at a high level other ways.

A good size comp is Steve Francis and Green has not shown that kind of explosion, now maybe his body matures and he can play more like a Francis but if it doesn't will his Jumper ever make him an uber threat?

The Lavine comps are looking very apt, but Lavine is a bit taller but a similar build, I think Green has more play making ability and is more willing to defend bot Lavine showed more athleticism as a rookie than Green has. and Lavine was not much older.

I am really not trying to **** on Green, but I have been a bit underwhelmed and I knew he was not on the level of a Kobe as the super fans were saying.

Who do you comp him with?

lol this all over again, this is how they were fooled the first time... the scouts are clueless and incapable(or perhaps not incentivizeed) of putting things into context and perspective...

when alpi got more minutes and showed his spectacular defense at the start of the season everybody started wondering but how everybody slept on him? now they back to sleep lololol

He does not have the quickest 1st step in the game and if he does he certainly is not using it to score or anything else.

What has he shown creatively to get his own shot?

How is he gonna average 24 ppg with a ok jumper and
No that's not the most important skill if it was Minny would have been in the playoffs every year with Lavine and KAT.

What about Davis in NO?

Mobley does not have to be the engine to be the more valuable guy

There is stilll a chance that apart from Mobley and Cunningham and couple of others, the majority of that draft picks turning out to be pretty similar.

And that teams are picking need over raw talent.

As of now, Green is still pretty raw talent with some improvements.

Too early for a redraft . Offseason and next year it’s free game tho .

It’s two different things to be disappointed in green and disappointed with how he’s played.

Kid has good effort and I do think there is something there . I also think a lot of other guys have the IT factor too from this draft .

I think green will hopefully be a bit of demar derozan and trae young mix. He has drive to be a two way player too . Right now his body just isn’t ready . Rockets front office had to know that going in .

He is skinny . I’m of the belief you shouldn’t bulk up too fast . Green is gonna be a speed player anyways I think . You hope he can turn a great defender vs 1’s while he is still young .

Green absolutely has top tier first step @jiggyfly

He just hasn't learned what to do after the first step creates the advantage.

That's my point.

So it's useless.

no its very useful to him because it gives hope he can improve so hell get that max contract like andrew wiggins... when it comes to the busts i prefer anthony bennet types...with them you know very soon where you stand....

You said he doesn't have the quickest first step and that is what I am disputing. He certainly does. Even without good handles he blows past his defenders multiple times. I've seen him live and it's clear this guy is at the top of the class with his first step and quick vertical.

Now, it being useless: sure, he has a lot learn on how to maximize this weapon. The first step he has isn't something that a player can just work hard to get. A jumpshot? That can come with repetition, guidance, effort. It can be taught... that first step can't.

Hot take here, I don't take Green in the lotto, I take Sengun and JC over Green
