For no reason? It’s because Cal and Easterby are idiots. Deshaun tried to take control of his own legacy, and if not for the allegations, it would have worked.

Wait, Deshaun is a bigger idiot? The guy who received the $164M contract with guarantees of $50M and a no trade clause?

Yeah the guy is a real moron.

If that makes him an idiot, what does that say about you?

Yeah the guy that risks that much money because he wanted his butthole tickled by girls who didn’t want to. Yeah that makes him an idiot.
He might have idiots like you that will tickle his butthole for him though

He made his legacy alright, and no matter how good he is at football he will always be looked at as a sexual stalking sleazy predator by millions of people.

Things may get dicey. With the Giants owner publicly taking a moral high ground yesterday stating that besides a cap restriction the bigger issue for him are the allegations against Watson and how because of THAT he wouldnt be a fit for that team. Sean Salisbury on his show this morning went on to speculate that some of the old money in the NFL could feel the same way. If this gains steam it would really limit which teams would be able to look away for the sole reason of improving and with that is there any leverage lost for Caserio? Obviously this might not be the case in the slightest and at the first available moment SOME team would swoop in and take a risk, but what if?? One of the few teams they could think of were the Raiders with their history of not caring about a players personal issues, but then again they just booted Gruden for his impropriety. What if there a surge in righteousness where would Watson go?

If he didn’t want to be in Houston, and didn’t like/trust the ownership, he shouldn’t have signed that deal.

While he ultimately will be gone, this whole process has not gone as well as his agents thought it would have… and there’s still far more unknowns than knowns in terms of what his future career arc will look like now.

I believe it's a good question, but in the end there should be multiple teams interested in Watson and that's what Cas needs to squeeze the most out of the trade.

    - MIA is probably still in play.
    - CAR is potentially the highest bidder.
    - MIN has emerged.
    - WAS could be a player, which could bring PHI back in play.
    - PIT, NO, DEN, etc.

Cas will work with Watson to expand his list, especially if MIA pulls out. Watson will probably look at who will be the coaches in some of these places. Where Flores and/or Biennemy go may become enticing for DW.

I dont think MIA is in play personally. Seems like the are going to roll the dice on Tua. Minny doesnt own a 1st round pick in the draft coming up so that package doesnt feel like it could be the best. PHI looks like they may give Hurts a longer look, which sucks because they own a bunch of picks. Pittsburgh was rumored as one of those old money teams that would pass on Watson because of the allegations, but I've always thought it made some sense. I mean they were able to look the other way for Big Ben right? NO with Payton on his way out? I guess like you say It would depend on who lands as coach there. I also think that Denver will go HARD after Aaron Rodgers.

CAR & WAS may make the most sense from your list if they are willing to absorb the PR hit of adding Watson with Carolinas higher pick being the better option IMO.

The more teams interested the better.

I still don’t see where this Minnesota interest is coming from, Watson isn’t much of an upgrade over Cousins in terms of production. Maybe they just want a change, which is better for us.

If the lawsuits get settled, teams will turn a blind eye to it and line up to get him. That’s just the way the NFL works. With the lawsuits still being a cloud over his head, no one is going to publicly express interest because of the optics… but as soon as the settlements potentially happen, Deshaun and any organization who wants him will be able to just call them “accusations”.

If and when the settlements happen, teams will be lining up. If the settlements don’t happen, no one will want him. Simple as that.

At that point the Texans will need to do something. Cap space plays a role in all of this.

Make no mistake about the truth in this post.

Watson is a case study in what happens to lotto winners that come from poor backgrounds.

    This is an uncomfortable truth.

Watson might be an idiot but he is better at this main job (football) than Cal is at his main job (running an NFL franchise).

Watson is one of the best at his position, while Cal is among the worst.

I don't think being poor has anything to do with being a sexual predator. This is an all-time dumb argument. You know how many people born rich and powerful people are also sexual predators?

Part of Watson’s main job could also include adhering to a contract that nobody forced him to sign… admitting that he has a sex addiction that undoubtedly has impacted his ability to perform his main job… and realizing that most players “main job” only lasts an average of 7 years (whereas owners are owners for life).

Says a lot about the Giants' owner to me. It's nice to know some rich people actually draw a line at what kind of deviants they choose not to hire just for making money.

Could also be a very interesting case study on lottery winners, poor people, sexual predators, minorities, and people's perceptions of them.

In what world is Watson a lottery winner?

You think these guys are just handed everything?

Dude worked his ass off to get to a point where he could take advantage of every single person in his atmosphere.

He's a good case study on how there is 0 correlation to anything and some people are just shitty.
