I don't think they could flip Knox again so soon?

Leave him out and it is still highway robbery - how do we get that deal??

Would be good for us but why would ATL do this?

Wood for Collins is essentially a lateral move.

Johnson, Knox, Pick for EG feels like highway robbery.

    Wood Gordon Wall to Lakers

    Westbrook Ariza Howard to Rockets

This trade works because the Rockets are in possession of a time machine. Whereas the Lakers clearly do possess a functioning time machine of their own.

I think Collins is superior to Wood - he is a playoff proven rim rolling 4 with more strength, a better shot and more physicality on both ends.
Wood is yet to prove he can exist as a 4. But hey, I'm sure we see more of Woods limitations because we watch him play more often, hopefully the Hawks feel the same way about Collins and have some strange desire to flip him for Wood!

If they really want to move him, and Wood is of interest to them, I'd think about sending a protected pick

I also view Collins much like wood . He is probably better , but I don’t think he’s a good defender . Mostly lateral move and you put more pressure to win now ... which maybe is OK . After we get one more high pick ... at this point we are committed to tanking .

I think we luck our next forward in mind to pair with sengun . Can onyeka okungwu guard 3-4 ? If so I’d like to pick him up .

So ... are Kings gonna Kings before the trade deadline?

Someone is going to rip them off somehow

What do they have that you really want? I see a roster of overpaid average players.

Sure, I'll take their lotto pick - I'll give them Wood for scraps and the pick with top 2 protection.

I only want Halliburton or Mitchell. Will the Kings overpay for the Christian Wood type player? I can see a contender wanting Barnes. I could also see the Kings getting much less return for Fox than they could probably squeeze out. Buddy Heild could certainly help a contender. You are right that they are overpaid though.

Who knows what Kings will do this trade deadline

I'd sure take Mitchell off their hands but Heild Barnes and Fox are all $20m+ contracts that are hard as hell to move.

Look at the difficulty we face in moving EG at $18m .... but that's complicated by our limited roster spots. If we can clear one, it'll open the flood gates ...

its worth buying low on Mitchell. Wonder what the cost would be; Sac certainly has too many young guards if they are building around Fox and Haliburton

I like some of the guards on the King's roster but that would mean we would have to shift some of ours off in a trade and I don't have a gauge on if the Rockets are ready to move on from Porter yet. No one on the league would even consider taking Green right now, he's a disaster.

Wood for Bagley (expiring) + 2022 pick swap (we get best of SAC/MIA/BKN) + 2024 FRP top 10 protected

I could see the Kings going all in on Simmons and Wood.

This would be a great trade for Rockets and might actually work for Sactown as well.

Miami has consistently been mentioned as a suitor for Christian Wood this week. The Rockets are searching for a sizable return for the skilled forward. So far, a framework of Duncan Robinson for Wood has circulated around the league, but Houston appears to require far more to part with their frontcourt centerpiece.

In conversations with rival teams, the Rockets have conveyed a confidence they will receive a first-round pick in exchange for Eric Gordon before the Feb. 10 buzzer.

Another Houston veteran drawing significant interest of late has been center Daniel Theis. The high price for Myles Turner has led several teams including Boston, Charlotte, Milwaukee and Toronto to inquire about the Rockets big man.

    Houston receives: Talen Horton Tucker, Miami's 2025 1st Rounder, LA's 2027 1st Rounder
Miami receives: Christian Wood, Kendrick Nunn
    LA receives: Duncan Robinson

I'd do that trade and realize @Plowman 's dream of getting more than just 1 1st rounder for Wood.
