Everyone looks like a miss, the front office and coach simply have no idea how to develop a player and have no plan doing it.

actually they do know, silas is famous for development, he developed lebron and curry, its just that these players miss a lot of open shots...this system is otherwise perfect...all these messups and failures are out of silas' control

    https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...ba-out-indefinitely-wrist-injury-16804208.php

Rockets rookie Usman Garuba, who has played limited minutes in just 15 games while spending much of the season in the G League, is out indefinitely with a left wrist injury that Rockets coach Stephen Silas said could require surgery.

Garuba averaged seven minutes in his appearances off the Rockets' bench, making 8 of 24 shots and getting 34 rebounds. He averaged nine points on 45 percent shooting and nine rebounds in five games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

“He fell,” Silas said. “I was talking to him about it. He was like, “Yeah, I fell, and I didn’t think it was that bad.’ But it turns out it’s pretty bad. He’s going to be out for a while. There is some talk about him needing surgery.”

For physical therapy, Garuba will scuba at Aruba and Cuba. Rest the wrist and play some tuba.

Gotta love a thread writing off a 19 year old foreign player that has had 105 mostly garbage time minutes on a team with tons of youth on the roster, which by the way has like a 30% win percentage. He has played only a handful of G league games, which he has been learning at a fairly decent place. I don't know why anyone thought any of these newly drafted guys were going to be big time instant contributors. We all hoped they would but until they trade Wood, Gordon, and any other plus 25 year old away these new guys need G-league as many minutes as possible and whatever Stone and crew can make available with the big boys. At 19 years old 99% of the guys look like an NBA bust in a 15 game span. Let him heal his wrist and get back to playing and get better and stronger.

We’ll see what happens in year two. As is the big question with all of our young talent, do we have the coaching to develop them? It will be interesting to see what both he and Christopher turn into as back to back late 1st round picks.
