The average Asian in America is going to vote democrat because part of the democrat party's mantra is inclusivity of what "America" is that doesn't just include white christian conservatives. Asians aren't going to vote for Biden or Democrats because of their more friendly views on Black Americans. They vote democrat because it's a more immigrant friendly party.
Vietnamese Americans voted more for Trump. So their conservative views affect their votes but other Asian Americans don't factor these issues in their vote? https://www.vox.com/first-person/2020/10/30/21540263/vietnamese-american-support-trump-2020
No, you don't remember that I have talked about a candidate solely based on a race issue. Yes there is a time and place to address the wealth gap it certainly is not in a thread about what CRT is, the wealth gap is not a race issue unless you believe the wealth gap only affects black people. There are actual threads about the wealth gap why don't you go into any of them.
Vietnamese voted for Trump because they are emotional about the term communism and Reagan. It's weird dynamic because the older Vietnamese forget that LBJ was a democrat and the president that yanked the US out of Vietnam was Nixon who was republican. They also forget that they took advantage of a **** ton of social services when they came here from welfare, to medicaid, to the financial aid that allowed them to go college. If you break down the Vietnamese numbers further, most of the Republican Vietnamese are over 60 years old. The young Vietnamese vote closely align with other Asian voters.
So what happened in Tulsa would not have an impact across the United States??? Please elaborate on that?? If we don't learn from things that happened in our past than we are doomed to repeat them.. T_Man
Perhaps I am misreading your comment, but blacks overwhelmingly vote Democrat vote President. What does that make them?
Watts riots, Harlem riots, Rodney King, George Floyd, Martin.... These events were all specific to a community but resonated tremendously across the country and in some cases, the world.
I'm saying this with all due respect but I don't think you really know Asians. There are plenty of Asian racists and bias and bigotry of all sorts is rampant in both Asian Americans but in Asia. There have been many stories of black Africans in the PRC discriminated against. Chinese and Japanese overtly express disdain towards ethnic minorities in their own countries and other Asians. For decades the Japanese openly and legally discriminated against Koreans even those who had lived in Japan for years. And I know first hand many Asian Americans fully believe they are superior. If you listen to the rhetoric around Affirmative Action there is thinly veiled racism expressed towards groups who are seen as benefitting from Affirmative Action. One reason why there is so much tension between black communities and Asian Americans is because of perceived economic exploitation of black communities by Asian businesses along with distrust and fear of blacks by Asians even in communities they do business in.

Wow you really didn't learn Black History. Blacks vote Democrat because the anti civil rights Democrats of the Jim Crow became Republican after Johnson signed Civil Rights legislation.
Are Asians racist against blacks or everyone else and why do they vote Democrat? I'm not arguing about Chinese or Japanese, I'm arguing about Asian Americans
THis is true also of many East Asian and Southeast Asians too. Also this argument that because 63% of Asians voted for Biden means that Asians can't be racist if we just accept that as the measure of racism then that means that 37% of Asians who didn't vote for Biden were racist. That is still a pretty big number. I think we all know that people vote for different reasons. As others noted many Asians voted for Biden because they didn't like the anti-Immigrant rhetoric of the GOP. On the flip side there were Asians who voted for Trump because they like the anti-Immigrant rhetoric as they believe that since they got here legally and are doing well other poor desperate immigrants trying to come here through other means shouldn't be "rewarded." Also many Asians are entrepreneurial and vote for the GOP purely out of economic reasons. That said a majority of Asians voted for Biden because like a majority of Americans they didn't like the job Trump was doing and felt he was an embarrassment to the country.
@bobrek The ironic thing about your issues of MLK and the question of why do blacks vote Democrat is that these are things racist reference when addressing racial issues. They turn MLK's preachings against affirmative action and they criticize blacks for voting Democrat because of the history of Democrats being racist. They learned black history
And again there are many reasons why Asians or most groups vote one way or the other. Even then by your own argument would show that 37% didn't vote for Biden and under your reasoning would be racist. You said "Asians". Leaving that aside Chinese and Japanese are among the largest groups of Asian Americans so their attitudes have a significant effect on Asian Americans as a whole. Besides that though there are plenty of other Asian Americans that harbor similar attitude. Again using your own argument that not voting for Democrats is sign of racism you've stated yourself that many Vietnamese voted for the GOP.
