I don't think you can still consider him one of the most intriguing talents we've seen since Lebron and expect him to be had for a relatively low cost. Either he's a complete risk and we can get him for cheap or he should still be considered an elite player but would take our most or entire chest of assets to acquire.

I used to work with professional athletes (some NBA players even) and worked on their body movement, etc. Before Zion came into the NBA I thought this guy was going to have some amazing moments early on, but end up getting injury after injury after injury. Some of these injuries happen overtime, but with explosive heavier athletes the timeframe speeds up. He has the worst lower body biomechanics out of every NBA playing today and maybe in the last 20 years, imo. Not only does he have an uphill battle with his weight (1 excellent offseason can fix this)... He also has to completely change the way he moves. Don't confuse explosive ability with quality movements. Even if he loses 25 pounds and has a healthy season, I just see him deteriorating without fixing his movements. They're so bad that I think it will take up to a whole year to fix. When you're a freak athlete like that, you don't want to spend as much time as it would take doing rehab type moves all the time. If he gets traded to a place with a great training staff (ex: PHX) then maybe there's a chance. So, I predict for him to have the career he can have, we are talking about 2-3 years of rebuilding himself. If he loses weight without fixing his biomechanics (1 year?), I see him having a good few years before being injured time after time.

I'm not saying I am the expert so listen to me; I'm just saying that's how I see it and that's why.

and maybe he's doing this in portland right now. who knows. what we do know is NOLA has a long history of treating their star players like ****. CP3-AD- now zion all want out. Something stinks in that franchise.

But Cade Cunningham is though? Lol You act like Livingston was some scrub or something, excellent young player before that injury. He also contributed greatly off the bench for the Warriors late in his career.

What NBA front office do you work for again? Your Monday Morning QB act is pretty tired btw...

I wouldn't say Zion is done, but he has more red flags than a Chinese parade. Embiid is different comparison because his body failed him, in Zion's case, he is failing his body. A lot of this is mental weakness and being unprofessional. The guy is making millions right now and the only thing anyone is asking of him to drop weight. Dropping weight when you're 300 pounds is fairly easy, Factor in that he's not a regular guy who has to find time for the gym after the 9-5 workday, and he's only 21, and it's pretty alarming.

Zion is over 300 pounds and is stacked with muscle, which burns more calories than fat. It's not crazy to think that if he stayed in bed all day, his metabolism would still burn 3500-4000 calories a day. He is lifting and rehabbing still, so to maintain his weight he probably eating 5500-6000 calories a day. Zion is such a freak, that he could go on a 3000 calorie a day diet and lose the weight he needs to.

BO6, if I paid you a million dollars a month, gave you a personal trainer, the best gym in your city, a masseuse, and personal chef, and told you that you could quit your job to focus on your goal, do you think you could drop 20 pounds? Also, millions of Americans wouldn't call you fat everyday. The answer is yes,

Even if Zion checks his diet, his body mechanics are awful. I was concerned abut his longevity before he was even in the NBA. The guy may have a long career, but he clearly has a food addiction. He has a lot to figure out, and it's more than just have Lucas mentor him.

With a +/- of -4, gotta admit he's winning a TON of games for them at 11-36, lol Ouch...

only an idiot uses single game +/-, especially when it’s a minus 4, to try and discredit 34, 8, and 8 from a rookie…it’s obvious you’re desperately trying to grasp at straws, it’s pretty funny

Cade is very good, but not worth looking at as we had no chance to get him. Rather focus on what we do have and we have done very well out of the draft. We have to have another good draft this year as well
