Maybe not Mahomes, but certainly debatable when compared to Allen. He’s been clutch and saddled with bad play calling and defenses that give up wins late much like Allen fell victim to tonight. I’d put Watson’s best statistical season right there with Allen’s.

Wrong. He has done it. 4th quarter comebacks, that is.

Except, of course, that the Texans are one of those teams whose QB situation just isn't good enough. (once Watson is gone)

Well I can’t really argue with that unfortunately, but what can you do? Supposedly there are no sure fire stud franchise quarterbacks in this draft anyways and I saw enough promise from Davis Mills to be excited about seeing what he can do with a full season as being QB1 for the Texans. Hopefully trading Watson will net the team some quality assets for the rebuild.

You don’t remember DW4 coming back from 16 pts down vs Josh? Probably greatest game in Texans history (not saying much)

I mean I like what I see. He once upon a time was considered a top qb prospect coming out of high school and some prognosticated that he may have been able to elevate his stock to a number 1 pick in this upcoming draft with a strong season. We’d look at him a lot differently if we spent a higher draft pick on him. I see some tools and promise. We’ll know more after next season.

Regardless DW4 was clutch and carried the team to a playoff win. I know you hate him for whatever reason but it’s ok to admit he’s one of the best young qbs in the league.

I didn’t hate Watson before he started assaulting women.
I do think he’s massively overrated here but was on his way to being elite.
Mahomes was always better. Allen has passed him up, Burrow and Herbert are on their way to passing him up. It’s just the facts

Allen could not have played any better. Mahomes was just out of this world. Watson can play but at best is a dumbass who can’t make life choices and at worst is a criminal.
Either way he currently isn’t in the league in my book, So hats off to the young men who can manage their lives off the field and be great on it.

    Just saw this, sorry.
Watsons only elite season was last year. Allen’s season last year was better and had better results. Allen also backed that up with another elite season and one of the best playoff performances you can have.

Allen had much better supporting cast than Watson has had in these last 2 seasons. Better playcalling too. Notice how no one is clamoring for Tim Kelly to interview for head coach lol. But Daboll has been flirting with interviews for two seasons.

Allen surpassed Watson only this year, and that’s because Watson didn’t get a chance to play due to his own fault. You keep ignoring the fact that coaching plays a huge factor in QB production. Andy Reid has made Alex Smith look good. See what Goff looks like with McVay and without him, etc. Watson has been saddled with bad coaching.

All I hear are excuses. You can’t claim he is putting up elite numbers and then claim he’s doing it all by himself. That’s horseshit.
He put up numbers on a bad team last year, defenses were vanilla.
The previous years were division winning teams. He didn’t do much in playoffs.

Edit* That’s been the biggest issue the entire time with this fan base. Can’t see Watsons flaws and comparing him to QBs who are clearly better and more talented. Watson is super talented, but it seems he would rather sexually assault innocent women than try and be the best in the league. Like Mahomes and Allen.

It's gonna take more time, maybe one generation, naturally, but hardcore Texans fan is starting to sound a whole lot like hardcore Cowboys fan.

did u forget the Bills game? or the Raiders?

U have blind hatred towards Watson cause of his actions. He did have 4th quarter come backs.

To dislike a man is one thing, but don't b rewriting history or downplaying what he did for us.

That sht vs Bills is one of the best qb action in Texans history.
I: do not believe Mills will ever replicate that clutchness, i only hope he is decent enough until a better QB comes along

At least Hardcore Cowboys have something worth reminiscing about (superbowls, former great/hof)

All we have is easterbunny, disgraced watson, disgruntle Andre johnson, and Watt. oh wait i forgot BoB and division titles

In 10-20 years, gonna b the same exact sht assuming we never find our franchise qb. and w/ Watt/Johnson making HoF

20 years has went and all we can brag about is division titles, and our first potential HoF. didn't even sniff AFC championship yet. Also one of the dumbest trade in NFL
