Actually it’s three women who got murdered but it’s 2 in the video.
Basically mentally ill homeless men who had various arrests ended up killing two women
    It was not a robbery
So their state of mind makes them dangerous

the one in New York pushed a women into the subway train tracks

    My opinion :
Remove mentally ill off the streets and put them into institutions

but that’s not a popular view

    I agree with you.

The issue is money. Cities don't have the money, the state doesn't want to spend the money, and the federal gov't doesn't have the money either. No one wants to pay for it.

If we really want to stop crime, we'd recognize how kids become criminals and work to change that pathway. There's an actual ROI there as crime is such a huge cost in terms of the lost of tax dollars from the cost of the criminal justice and penal system, lost tax revenue from criminals and their victims, and loss property and real estate value.

what happens to the population of homeless people who are addicted to meth and heroine, if the cities got rid of the drug dealers?

You can't get rid of the drug dealers. For everyone you get rid of, they are simply replaced by someone else. The war on drugs simply makes drugs more lucrative by creating higher prices as it doesn't affect demand. This is why the war on drugs is a total failure.

Why not? Easier to get drug dealers in jail than homeless people in jail.
Isn’t drug dealing against the law ?

Malthus hasn't applied much to late stage economies. As more of the world becomes developed, the older they average out with less babies. We're in a situation where declining birth rates are highly correlated with our levels of debt in relation to GDP.

Given our demographics, liquidating anyone beyond 80 and their interest bearing accounts would probably remove the debt burden around our necks.

It would also make the remaining retirement and pension funds more sustainable because they would only have to care about 15 years of withdrawals. I still think a good number are mismanaged by middling simpletons who simply fell into the position, but that sounds way better than the ever too real prospect of bailing them out 5-10 years from now.

My solution: Retire retire 80+ yr olds, pilfer the dragons nest with estate tax. Watch the Silver Tsunami in housing actually happen. Then use those savings to pay off the debt before some village idiot gets elected to fritter it all away "cuz we deserve it hyukhyuk"

The guy is mentally ill and violent obviously. He doesn't belong in jail but a mental institution for the criminally insane.
