I am not comparing the content of Rush to Rogen I am comparing what they say and do to attract a particular audience, a lot of it is grievance and how things are not fair for their audience.

I have no idea how you are coming to any kind of conclusion by just looking at clips.

sure he was wrong , he took the time to look it up and backed off his stance vs cutting the guy off and not checking things out

What does that have to do with anything? I’m pointing out that he’s spouting bad info and, when called out and proven wrong, he cowers and questions the validity.

I couldn’t care less how many people listen to him nor do I care about it vs legacy media. If you enjoy knowingly bad information from a mediocre comedian/roid rager/mma announcer, good for you.

but he was diplomatic and at least let the other guy present his side .

how many people quickly admit “you’re wrong I’m right” . He at least gave the appearance he was thinking about it

compare this to the aggressive style you’d see on cable news ... granted , this isn’t “news” it’s a podcast ... just like many other “news” sources are actually propaganda

 

That's the thing and the silliness of this entire thread. This show by an entertainer with no medical or actual political background is being compared to legit news. Yes, he was mostly pragmatic in his response, even if he questioned the validity of it.

For me personally, when I watch the news, I watch the news...local and national. I will, on an occasional Sunday morning (if Manchester United isn't playing), watch one of the broadcast news shows. But I don't watch the opinion/entertainment shows like Maddow or Hannity. They're all a waste of air time.

Except for John Oliver. Love his show.

 

While you and many aren't influenced and it's silly, unfortunately, newstainment is very influential. Shows like his have a huge audience and are also very influential. It's almost like gossip - hey, did you hear that thing about the vaccines? How many of these people do their homework and figure it out? For covid, he had guests that ranged from well-established trusted experts to those that spread misinformation and disinformation. The shows with misinformation and disinformation do real damages. He repeats some of them also do real damage.
