He needs to sell contact more. Like, flail your arms and hit the floor! When Sengun drew a foul on light contact from Bjelica he went down like he'd been shot by sniper rifle in Halo while being simultaneously headbutted by Zinedine Zidane
Is it me or did he lose some arc on his shot. I think they are tweaking his form in the background it's probably going to be pretty bad until he can finalize a form in the off season
He is not used to play that many games, he will get used to it gradually, as his arms feel tired, his form changes.
… Or Christopher. That kid has shown tremendous progress since I first saw him in Summer League. You have to reward guys who deliver. Force-feeding playing time to Green is not good for the organization, nor for Green. Send him to RGV to hone his craft. If he dominates there then bring him back. I want to see him outperform Nix and Gerald Green in Rio Grande, before letting him compete with Matthews and Christopher for playing time. It’s called accountability. Good organizations have it, garbage organizations don’t. At this point today, I am not mad or disappointed at Jalen, I liked the hustle. The O rebound and the D on Steph may be overplayed, but they did happen, so there is that. I am just mad that we lost against these guys, a winnable game. We were up 6 when Jalen comes in for Jaygup. -8 rest of the way. He shouldn’t have been brought back. That’s not on Jalen, that’s on coach and the organization. Terrible for morale to see guys fight for a lead and then lose the game because the Rockets want to force their Golden Boy who is clearly not ready down on everyone’s throat….
Jalen Green last 10 games 33.6% FG% (42/125) 20% 3pt% (10/50) 83.8% FT% (26/31) 28.1 MPG 12.0 PPG 4.0 RPG 1.9 APG 1.9 TO/G
Just not good enough. In no way am I even close to giving up on him, but he needs to play better. I am seeing encouraging things, and discouraging things. His potential is limitless, yet he is far rawer than I was expecting. But that’s ok! It’s not about where you start, it’s about where you end up, and how hard you work.
