You don't understand. You're not closer to Iverson because you or me are not even on the same island as the people who matter that are having the conversation of Iverson vs Duncan. People use numbers in the weirdest way.

I know iverson has his fanboys cause his style is cool i guess? But hyper inefficient chuckers are not my thing (who also play 0 defense)

That's exactly the same reason why Kobe has his fanboys. They were both "cool" chuckers....one got to ride coattails on stacked teams, the other had to carry his team full of scrubs. That's the reason why some perceive one was better than the other.

I'm not a fan of either of them really, but AI could have ridden coat tails in LA just as well or better than Kobe did.

Kobe wasn’t nearly as inefficient though. Again, not a fan but he was just much better

Kobe was a great defensive player. Iverson did steal the ball, but otherwise was crap on defense. Kobe was also clutch and could will his team to victory much like Lebron. I actually don’t like any of the three, but one is probably the best ever and the other two are definitely top 20.

They were both embarrassingly inefficient chuckers, I think if Kobe was forced to carry scrub teams like AI, his already terrible efficiency numbers would have tumbled further.

We saw what happened when Shaq left the Lakers. They were still pretty talented, but with Shaq gone they went from a 56 win team to a 34 win team when they had to rely on Kobe more.

AI was routinely doing more with less.

    Hahaha. That’s funny.
So you’re as good at basketball as my dead granma (RIP), as her WS is also 0?

They still made the finals with him as their best player. I'm not big on Iverson either, but give credit where it's due.

Then that would put both your dead gramma and that poster as better than Jalen Green and KPJ who currently have negative win share totals LOL

Kobe was in the 55-58 range most of his career, that wasn’t bad for the time at all

Meh, it’s common knowledge that bucks series was fixed to avoid the bucks being in the finals. That’s more credit to stern then iverson

So long as he could ride the coattails of HOFers, the Lakers won a ton of games, if they ever had to rely on Kobe, they were hopeless.

Kobe wasn't the kind of player that could pick a team up and carry them, he was a coattail rider. Give him Shaq or Pau with a stacked roster to carry him, and you were good to go.

Gtfo with that. You aren't closer to anything.
I'm CLoSeR bEcAuSe AnALyTiCs SaY sO.

Iverson won games, the 76ers won games because of him.
Duncan won games and championships, the Spurs won championships because of him.

Your post is an example of why people scoff at analytics. A random number doesn't account for the impact a player of Iverson's caliber actually has.

Relax guy, obviously it was a joke just to show how massive the gap was between the 2 when the poster compared them

Getting back to the thread topic -- finding a franchise player for us going forward rather than discussing players no longer playing. I think we need to be prepared to give up a lot but if we can do it . . . Ja Morant.
