No, the Texans are a really shitty organization and it all starts with ownership. Just a sad situation that we as fans have to deal with..... but the truth is that it really is terrible all the way around.
It’s still a skewed sample size. Of course a bunch of guys that quit or didn’t fit in with the current staff and got cut are going to talk trash. Ask Britt, Cooks, Maliek Collins, King, Howard or any other veteran that played decently this season what they think of the texans and i’m sure you would get a different answer. Things aren’t great over there but it’s probably not any worse than any other franchise that hasn’t had much success over the past couple of years. Anything bashing the texans is good clickbait these days.
Posted earlier that 99% of players would probably give a pc answer when asked about their former team(s) whether being honest or not. Don’t think it’s a coincidence that the Texans have had a slew of players come out and essentially say the exact same thing about their recent experience here. And I don’t think they’re doing it for clicks. Just my opinion.
Except hundreds of players get cut/traded/leave teams every year and you don't hear similar comments from most of them. This is very Texans-specific. Well of course people aren't going to criticize their current employers. They need to get paid. And in general, they don't criticize their former employers either because they don't want to alienate people unnecessarily. When Britt and Cooks and Tunsil and others came to the Texans, you didn't hear them talking about how much of a breath of fresh air it was and how much better it was to be with the Texans than their previous franchises.
Cooks spoke out against the organization twice during the season. During a presser after the Ingram trade and during his radio spot with Vandemeer.
If McDaniels has the slightest itch to leave New England Houston just has to be at the top of his list right??
