It'd be so funny if we traded Westbrook for Wall and a first, then later trade Wall for Westbrook and a first. Life comes at you fast.
It's really the only reason you do it unless if Westbrook is open to a buyout and even then it's worthy of squeezing them for a FRP
I wonder if Orlando would be interested in clearing some deadweight off of their roster. Wall for Isaac, Fultz, Ross Isaac, when healthy, is a beast of a player. That much is certain, unfortunately, he's been injured a lot. Fultz showed tremendous growth this first year in Orlando but, like Isaac, got hurt and no one can forget about his case of the yips. Isaac has 3 years $52.5 million left on his deal after this year, Fultz has 2 years $33.5 million left and Ross is an expiring contract next year at the tune of $12 million. It's interesting because Mo Bamba is due for an extension after his rookie contract runs out and the Magic also has Wagner, Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs, Wendell Carter Jr., etc. to decide extensions on over the next few years. Taking Wall back would clear up significant cap space in the summer of 2023 for them. Should Houston take a risk on Isaac and Fultz at the expense of alleviating Wall and his contract from our salary cap?
Wood and Brooks to SAC for Bagley and Metu. King's have a boatload of 2nds in 2022 hopefully Stone can get them to throw in one or two. Or: Wood and Queen to ATL for Hunter and Okongwu. Move Gordon, Theis, Augustine, to contenders for whatever draft capital or young bigs possible.
Makes no sense for Orlando. Wall does nothing for them. They're tanking, he's not on their timeline. Isaac has actual value, they're not going to trade him for the worst contract in the league.
And that's absolutely reasonable. The only value here that Wall would offer them is cap relief as their young core of Bamba, Anthony, Wagner, etc. are going to be eligible for extensions soon.

the problem with grant is that he came out and said that he wants to be the focal point, a star, similar to what myles turner said. I don't think they'd be happy being a complementary player.
More Ben Simmons trade options. Rockets need to pounce on him now while Morey is forced to practically give him away.

Nonetheless, Gordon is still averaging 14.8 points per game this season while shooting a scorching 45 percent from long-range -- second in the entire NBA behind only P.J. Tucker. The Sixers can always use added shooting and scoring around Embiid, and Gordon would provide that.
