Man taking on russ without getting a first is not something i’m open to, you HAVE to get a first rounder
It'd be so funny if we traded Westbrook for Wall and a first, then later trade Wall for Westbrook and a first. Life comes at you fast.
It's really the only reason you do it unless if Westbrook is open to a buyout and even then it's worthy of squeezing them for a FRP
I wonder if Orlando would be interested in clearing some deadweight off of their roster. Wall for Isaac, Fultz, Ross Isaac, when healthy, is a beast of a player. That much is certain, unfortunately, he's been injured a lot. Fultz showed tremendous growth this first year in Orlando but, like Isaac, got hurt and no one can forget about his case of the yips. Isaac has 3 years $52.5 million left on his deal after this year, Fultz has 2 years $33.5 million left and Ross is an expiring contract next year at the tune of $12 million. It's interesting because Mo Bamba is due for an extension after his rookie contract runs out and the Magic also has Wagner, Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs, Wendell Carter Jr., etc. to decide extensions on over the next few years. Taking Wall back would clear up significant cap space in the summer of 2023 for them. Should Houston take a risk on Isaac and Fultz at the expense of alleviating Wall and his contract from our salary cap?
Wood and Brooks to SAC for Bagley and Metu. King's have a boatload of 2nds in 2022 hopefully Stone can get them to throw in one or two. Or: Wood and Queen to ATL for Hunter and Okongwu. Move Gordon, Theis, Augustine, to contenders for whatever draft capital or young bigs possible.
Makes no sense for Orlando. Wall does nothing for them. They're tanking, he's not on their timeline. Isaac has actual value, they're not going to trade him for the worst contract in the league.
And that's absolutely reasonable. The only value here that Wall would offer them is cap relief as their young core of Bamba, Anthony, Wagner, etc. are going to be eligible for extensions soon.
As the deadline approaches I want to reiterate my proposal for the best trade EVAH: HOU OUT/DEN IN: J. Green/Gordon/Porter Jr. DEN OUT/HOU IN: J.Green/Gordon/Porter Jr.
John Collins to Houston Eric Gordon to Phoenix two protected 1st round picks (Hou/Pho), Jalen Smith and salary filler to Atlanta
Gordon, Wood, plus pick ANY 2 other players not on a rookie deals & our 2022 FRP (top 4 protected) …for… Simmons, Springer, Bassey, & Reed This will push the 6ers deep into the play-offs We get a core of Simmons & last year’s draft. PLUS Springer & Bessey added into the mix. This quickly could/should be a GREAT team. This is also better than anything we would get in the draft after the 4th pick.
HOU - LAL - LAC - ORL LAL: Wall (HOU) + Ibaka (LAC) LAC: Westbrook (LAL) + Theis (HOU) into TPE ORL: Kennard (LAC) + LAL 2023 SRP HOU: Horton-Tucker (LAL) + Bledsoe (LAC) + LAL 2026 FRP (top 5 protected) Bledsoe bought out for $16M
A few trades: 1. Wall to LAL for Westbrook and 2027 1st 2. Wood + one of (Garuba/ Martin) to Charlotte for 2023 1st, 2023 2nd (via BOS), PJ Washington and Plumlee 3. Gordon to CLE, Rubio from CLE to DET, Grant from DET to HOU. CLE 1st to HOU. 2 of the 3 FRPs accumulated to DET. Obligatory lineup: KPjr / Augustin / Nix(2w) / Westbrick (buyout?) Green / Christopher / Brooks Grant / Mathews / Nwaba Tate / Washington / (Garuba/Martin) Sengun / Plumlee / Theiss Perhaps manage Grants injuries the rest of this season to ensure best chance at top pick! Have added 1 pick, made time for Sengun, and added a nice complimentary player in Grant if any of what we have turns out to be a star. If not, cash in chips, reroll.
the problem with grant is that he came out and said that he wants to be the focal point, a star, similar to what myles turner said. I don't think they'd be happy being a complementary player.
More Ben Simmons trade options. Rockets need to pounce on him now while Morey is forced to practically give him away.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...trade-deadline-that-dont-include-ben-simmons/ 2. Houston Rockets 76ers receive: Eric Gordon Rockets receive: Danny Green, Furkan Korkmaz, 2023 draft pick (second round) The Rockets are in the midst of a rebuild, and thus Gordon doesn't really fit their timeline moving forward. With this deal, the Rockets would get out from under Gordon's contract (Green's deal is non-guaranteed for next season), a solid young shooter in Korkmaz on a team-friendly deal through 2024, and a second-round pick to add to their war chest. In Gordon, the Sixers would get a legitimate floor spacer and offensive option, albeit one that is probably past his prime. Nonetheless, Gordon is still averaging 14.8 points per game this season while shooting a scorching 45 percent from long-range -- second in the entire NBA behind only P.J. Tucker. The Sixers can always use added shooting and scoring around Embiid, and Gordon would provide that.
