[Video Games] What are you playing? (Omikron Edition)

I play Apex Legends

 

Coworker and I have been playing Streets of Rage 4. Was trying to platinum Ghost of Tsushima but got bored. Fun game, but once you beat the main story the other tasks become tedious.

 

Skyward Sword HD and Farcry 6. @MRS_KILLATRON2000 and I bought each other Farcry 6 for Christmas. We returned one and she got Super Monkey Ball.

She's going out of town this weekend, so I having some friends over for a little NBA Jam (on an emulator) tournament.

 

I've played about 160 hours of BOTW... I think I'd have to play another 100 hours to finish it. It's incredible but almost too long.

 

Bought Metroid Dread Special Edition as a future gift for one of my kids. That version is already being scalped so street price of $90 seems like a deal that I will regret passing on.

 

I got tired of it. I hate games where I have to gather stuff and come up with concoctions and elixirs. And what the hell is up with every weapon breaking after a certain amount of use? I can see why its rated so high but its just not for me. Same for fallout, etc....

 

Totally agree the adventure is amazing but not having a quick cook/ elixer and stronger weapons is very frustrating. To play so long and not be able to just blast through the regular monsters... I can't even imagine trying to take on all the bosses.

 

The brilliant part is that it's as long as you want. As soon as you leave the plateau, you can beat Gannon. You can also mess around for eternity if you want. Just like @MRS_KILLATRON2000 and I have been doing on our 3rd playthrough.

 

after a decade plus I started playing GTA V online. Griefers suck but playing with a few select friends is great.

also playing NBA 2K 22. I love playing with the all-time/classic rockets team

 

Still playing Genshin regularly. Just hit AR 58 and loaded up on primos waiting for Ganyu and Miko.

Also just finished Horizon Zero Dawn with the sequel about to drop. Started it a while back and played a ton, but never actually got around to completing the main quest.

 

I would love to play the new Forza Horizon and stuff...if I could find the new gen xbox in stock....

 

Halo Infinite. For MP, I'm not very good, but like the matchmaking better than some DICE games. For campaign, it seemed to be about making sure I had ammo. Spent a lot of time using melee attack on weaker enemies to save the good stuff.

Edit, the grapple melee attack is pretty fun in campaign. I wish it was default to have in MP like in the campaign.

3. Gran Turismo Sports (10% completed, unlocked all tracks in arcade mode and completed all race level. Not sure if I want to start career mode honestly.)
4. Ghost of Tsushima (~80% complete)
5. Shadow of the Tomb Raider (Story, completed, working on 100%)
6. Assassin's Creed Origin (~60 complete)
7. A Plague's Tale (~90 complete)
8. Guilty Gear XRD Rev 2 (1 vs 1 fighting game)
9. Death Stranding (~80% complete)
10. TLOU Part 2 (Story Completed, just started hard mode, 60fps update)
11. Persona 5 Royal (have no clue where I'm at, I'm ~50 hrs in)
12. Resident Evil 3 (Story completed, Starting hard mode)
13. Final Fantasy XV (Story completed, trying to get 100%)
14. Streets of Rage (two player co-op with son)
15. BOTW (~20 hrs in)
16. Ori and the Will Of the Wisp (~40% complete)
17. Crysis 1/2/3 remastered on the switch (Just messing around...)
18. Variety of shmup game on switch (Ikaruga, Tengai, R-Types, and Thunderforce IV).
19. Final Fantasy 7 Remake (~30hrs in)

 

95% done with Spider-Man GOTY edition. I'm mowing through the backlog on my PS5. The next game I'll try to tackle next is Red Dead Redemption 2.

Also playing NFS hot pursuit (rm) and GRID which is a surprisingly good racing arcade/sim -- especially for less than 10 bucks.
