    Lakers Shopping Talen Horton-Tucker

The Los Angeles Lakers are shopping Talen Horton-Tucker in trade discussions, sources tell the Los Angeles Times.

While the Lakers still value Horton-Tucker, they lack ways of improving their roster without including him and his salary in a trade.

The Lakers re-signed Horton-Tucker on a three-year, $32 million deal in the offseason.

Horton-Tucker is averaging 10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 27.4 minutes over 28 games this season.

For Lebron's sake I hope this is false because you have to be a very stupid and/or egotistical individual to have ever thought Westbrook would have helped this Laker team. I know a platter of Kuzma, KCP and Harrell isn't all that much to give up but at least those three guys can be traded in a much easier fashion than one whole lump sum that is Westbrook's $40+ million hit.

28.7% shooting in his last 6 games. That's not from three... That's from anywhere.

The decision to trade for him was a disaster. LeBron wanted him and Melo. He got them.

I've found this Lakers season to be top notch entertainment.

This is prob true. Love Lebron but its clear he wanted WB over Hield. Wasnt that big a fan of WB to the Lakers but I thiught it would at leastbe a positive and give Lebron and AD some rest.

Turns out WB has regressed even more than when he played eith us. Reminds me of Iverson in his final years just a sucky player.

Lol nobody ever did. Kobe was whining affer he ran Shaq out of town, Harden wanted out and left us with his bff snd now Lebron wants an undo button.

The Lakers have indeed been a disaster they let Lebron control too much. Shouldnt have given THT Alex Carusso's salary and should have gone affer Lonzo in FA instead of WB.

Westbrook shot 1-11 on 2 point field goals last night…insanely bad

right now, he just looks like an aging track star who used to play a little bit of basketball back in the day

sometimes I think part of his atrocious level of play the past few years is mental

this guy used to shoot 80% from the line for many seasons, now he’s in the 60’s

some of his misses from 3 and midrange…holy sh*t, u have to try to miss that bad

I’ve never seen a player miss and airball so many jumpers…back in the day, he wasn’t a good shooter, but it wasn’t like this…he had his little midrange pull up at the free throw line

his handles too…they were never great, but the past few seasons he dribbles like he’s playing with broken fingers

I think he just dgaf anymore after his MVP season. Like free throws is all about repetition and practice.

Westbrook is no longer in a market that the media does not give a **** about and now they are really coming after Mr. Triple Double.

Maybe it's just me misremembering, but back when Westbrook was on OKC (post-Harden, pre-KD leaving for GSW), Westbrook would be fearsome from midrange. Not Tony Parker / CP3 consistent, but whenever Westbrook would pull up and shoot a midrange, he'd be Tony Parker / CP3 scary. Every midrange, you'd feel like would go in.

Sad thing #1: A championship coach's job is on the line despite him not having anything to do with the current roster and how AD is injured all the damn time.

Sad thing #2: A championship coach can't coach because he has to get the approval of management to do something obvious, like bench an inefficient player.

he wasn’t good from midrange based on percentages, but he definitely had times where it could be automatic…and his misses were never constantly this bad…this guy is hitting top or side of the backboard, trying bank shots that don’t even hit rim, or just airballing…it’s insane

    take this game for example

now, he did go 13-30, but his midrange was at least somewhat respectable and could be lethal if he was hot…now his jumper is just a joke from midrange or the free throw line, and his handle is so loose and sloppy you’d swear he was suffering from nerve damage or had broken fingers

Lost athleticism must be a major factor. I don't do the analysis, but from watching him, he doesn't get to the bucket as much and when he does he is missing bunnies. So, now he's shooting more mid-range shots and more three-pointers. Shots he was never accurate with and now even less with lost athleticism. And, even though he denies it, the pressure of LA expectations and the weight of the criticism of failing to meet them has to be destructive to his confidence.

They have to be careful. Who knows how Westbrook will react to this type of shaming.
