I may be delusional but I want Ben Simmons instead of Wall/Cwood. We have SF in PG body playing point right now(KPJ). Why we don't reverse it and have Ben Simmons PG in PF body playing point? With Sengun KPJ Jalen Simmons and someone we take next draft would have size, shooting, multiple playmaking axises. Probably we could grab someone with size and athleticism to help with rebounding and dirty work

Too many bodies and not enough playing time for our man Sengun. Lol.

We have a player in Wall doing the same thing Simmons is doing, one player who refused to enter a game and another who assaulted a coach and left the arena mid-game.

I don’t think Simmons creates any culture issues, especially since those players would likely be going out in the trade.

The reported expectations for Kings' new GM Monte McNair was that they're trying to contend. Not rebuild. They want to quickly become a this year's Bulls/Cavs level team. With their record slipping, pressure is turned up on him as trade deadline approaches. They are itchy to make moves.

Stone is also a first time head GM. Most Rocket fans are still with him on the rebuild. So the painted picture is that he has more rope. Stone is still on the clock, albeit a longer one. Rockets roster is full of many small contracts, can help grease lot of deals (small or large) for other teams.

If it's a big fish, never hurts to listen.

Didn’t even bring Mobley in for a tryout….his size and defense should have made the price of a plane ticket worth it.

Rockets aren’t going for those guys….every year Tilman puts out that we’re going to be big players at the deadline only to have a loud thud. Same thing this year. Expect a couple really minor deals.

Any trade where we are giving up some of our “valuable future assets” for a player such as Ben Simmons and expecting him to be a “franchise centerpiece” just reeks of losing patience with the rebuilding process.

No. Cash in on acquiring more assets, trade Gordon and Wood. Continue to develop Jalen, Sengun, and KPJ. Grab another impact player in the upcoming draft, then reevaluate the trade market for “franchise centerpiece” type trades after the draft. Simmons ain’t it.

Exactly, give the kid time. He's 19! He's had some good games and some bad games.

I'm not totally opposed to the idea of adding Simmons. They need a true playmaker, and I've always liked the idea of him as a point forward surrounded by shooters. But as a player, he's pretty far from a "franchise centerpiece." At best, he's likely the third best player on a contender, but he's getting paid and acts like he's a No. 1 or No. 2.

I'd rather do this right: develop our youngsters, draft wisely over the next 3-4 years. A proper PG is my priority #1 to help develop the youngsters. And a PG who cannot shoot is not a proper PG.

I would wait until after the lottery or put a top 2 protection on it. If I don't get the #1 or #2 pick, I'd trade it. If I can't get Smith or Banchero.....trade it.

The draft is a gamble. I love Green and think he will be a star one day but it's going to take awhile. And that's my issue with putting everything in the draft. Too many young players is not good.

Let's say we trade Wood, as some on the board wants. We draft another young 6'10 player similar to Wood. It's going to take another 3-4 yrs for that player to develop and then you will have to extend him....you're not moving forward. You're on a treadmill.
