Prepare for the inevitable onslaught of "We had our shot at a franchise centerpiece with Mobley!" comments.

I'm telling you Green's a young rookie who is learning on the job.

You should go back and look at some of Kobe's rookie games. Not saying Green will become Kobe.

    Bring on Ben Simmons!

Wall, EG, Wood, Augustin for Simmons, Harris, Danny Green, Niang, Drummond

    I'm only half kidding..

That onslaught is well deserved. I love Jalen and still have high hopes, but Mobley is running circles around the rest of the draft class. Most of the world saw this coming while the genius that is Tilman Fertitta didn’t care to look. He predictably went for the shiny object. David Kahn 2.0.

I can see us preying on Minnesota or the Pelicans. They need depth .

I worry about the culture fit with Simmons, but I think he fits from a player perspective, for the right price. What would be my right price?

Something like Wood, Gordon and a first. No more. Maybe less though.

We had our shot with Danuel House, and now he plays for the Jazz.

if Morey doesn’t like Fox for Ben Simmons, he damn sure doesn’t want anything we have to offer

Rockets are worst team in NBA, I'd worry more about that.

If the Rockets think Ben Simmons meets that description then we are far more f**ked than I already thought we were when it comes to the front office.

In the general sense, what team isn't looking for a cornerstone?

So we are going to trade all our youth and draft picks for Simmons, Lillard, Beal or any other "star" that just is not good enough.
I do not mind sucking for a couple of years an watching our young players develop. That being said I wouldn't mind us actually trying to develop our young players, like giving Sengun more playing time and letting Green do more than stand in a corner.

I was under the impression that the Kings balked at taking on Harris in the deal, too.

I’d do the deal @futilman proposed. I’d almost prefer Simmons just sat out the year after the trade so that we can try to preserve our draft position. If we could add a top 5 pick to that group, that would be icing on the cake.

Much rather have Fox from Sac than rescue Morey from his Simmons mess tbh. EG, Wood and a couple of picks then target a rim protector in the draft.
