It teaches him that when he's absolutely terrible and everyone else is outplaying him, he'll have to sit out and watch. His draft position is enough to have him starting, but sometimes he'll have to earn playing time.
Gary Birrrrrrd! The dude is a baller. Solid game, balanced scoring from several players except Green who wins the headless chicken award.
I get why he sat Green. Matthews was super hot. Gordon is dependable and playing well. KpJ has played his best overall game this year. Tate and Wood are "big men" I get sitting Green. He shot like **** and didn't do anything worthwhile. But in previous games when other guys have played terrible he didn't bench them. Again, I get why he sat Green but I just want him to keep that same energy for other players in all games.
He did play, that's why it was looking like the Rockets were going to get blown out early in the 3rd.
Man Silas calls some dumb timeouts sometimes. Wide open inbounds to Matthews and he calls a timeout? Why not call it when a guy's in trouble and needs to call it to get out of a trap?
Anyone else notice that when KPJ steps INTO his 3s he usually makes them but when he goes straight up he struggles? DD
I don't think this team is meaningless! There are some pieces on this team, we need another major piece AND for Green to improve but they are not far off
There is still clear tension between KPJ & Lucas. 2nd time I've seen KPJ hit a clutch shot and he shuns Lucas, doesn't even make eye contact with him
The good thing is KPJ play better. The bad thing is Green get benched by Silas and Sengun only play 15 mins.
Green's shot wasnt falling, but they were all good shots. Brooks was taking good shots too, but was missing was allowed to get his shot back.. I thought Sengun was playing well.
