Governor DeSantis is using over $1 billion in federal aid to cover 25 cents of Florida's gas tax for 5 months. So gas will go down 25 cents a gallon starting in July and going through [sarcasm]surprisingly[/sarcasm] the November election cycle.
Really WTF has he never heard of preventive medicine or screenings? The concept of a yearly checkup is foreign to him? Even Florida man is saying, really my guy?
He has no chance to win a nationwide election, he is just too stupid, and he has none of the charisma of Trump. He also looks too Hispanic if you want to be real about it.
Can they be any more obvious? A bill pushed by Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis that would prohibit public schools and private businesses from making white people feel “discomfort” when they teach students or train employees about discrimination in the nation’s past received its first approval Tuesday. https://apnews.com/article/business...AP&utm_source=Twitter&utm_campaign=SocialFlow
I'd agree if his only opponent wouldn't be the Democratic nominee. The truth is Desantis will never unseat Trump. I have no idea why he's getting into these sparring matches with him. Just wait 3 more years and the world is your oyster. The only way he can screw it up is if he alienates Trump goons, which are like the easiest people to placate in the world. Just shake your keys in front of them or something, Ron.
Wut? There are a lot of things you can say negative about Trump but you can't say he has no charisma, its his entire claim to fame.
Just the fact that he might be running against Trump, has alienated his goons. Yeah we know your shtick and any Democratic candidate other than your favorite is toast, you said the same thing in about Biden and we see how that turned out. I hope Desantis is the nominee he does not have the allure of Trump, he will say and do dumb stuff to be Trump lite and he is Hispanic which some Trumpers will never vote for. Desantis will not have easy primary they will eat each other alive and turn off a lot of voters along the way.
You're misremembering. I thought Biden had no chance at the nomination. Once he got it (which I maintain was mostly due to everyone else's failure and not Joe being some kind of wizard), I was fairly consistent that Trump v. Biden was a coinflip. He won by 40,000 votes across 3 states, so that turned out to be pretty spot on.
No I am not misremembering most of your argument about Biden not getting the nomination was because he had no chance in the actual election. Nothing you said panned out about Biden, you can try and clean it up now but that's just revisionist history. It was not a coin flip, he beat Trump handily and turned Georgia blue and made the Senate 50/50 which nobody predicted. Now you want to answer why you thought the progressive candidate would have done better?
I'm pretty sure I'm going to remember what I said and how I felt more than you. Feel free to post evidence otherwise. My argument about him not getting the nomination was because he's Joe Biden, an extremely old centrist appeasement candidate with a wrapsheet of primary failures a mile long in a field of 20+ younger, more liberal people. I felt like it was nearly impossible the field would be that low performing to allow such a milque-toast candidate to slip through. On that I was wrong, largely because Trump and Covid had scared the bejesus out of people to the point they were less willing to take risks. I was largely silent on odds in the general except for Yang and Bernie, whom I thought would win fairly comfortably. After Biden secured the nomination, whenever I did make predictions in the general they were either 50/50 or favorable for Biden. Note that isn't some endorsement of Biden, but more about just how bad Trump was. I was wrong about Joe's chances in the primaries. I was right about plenty else though. and this and this and this and this for good measure Was I more bearish on other candidates earlier in the year? Yeah, but also COVID hadn't happened yet... and that changed things quite a bit. Miss me with this loser talk. The popular vote doesn't determine ****. Stop acting like it does, lest we lose another election via the EC.
Wow you sure did cherry pick out a lot of stuff. You know what you said so I am not gonna get in a archive war with you, you know you thought Biden had no chance in the primary or the general and you were wrong on both. So why should anyone take you seriously about what is gonna happen in the future? I have no idea what the loser talk is or what the EC has to do with the conversation, nothing I said about what Biden did to Trump is untrue but for some reason you have to spin it like its a negative. Tell us again how Sanders was the favorite in the primaries and the best bet to beat Trump. I'm listening.
