The audit did not say that, and I thought you had stopped creating strawmen to argue against.

You need to tweak your meds again?

Exactly, thank you for demonstrating why we should not blindly accept the results of this audit

Bro the whole controversy is about the audit suggesting more black teachers will help black student performance

I already linked the report a second time for you and it said white teachers hand out longer suspensions making it harder to learn

I don't have to keep repeating **** you don't want to accept

And then talk ish while at. Good lord you make it so hard

That doesn't illustrate anything except that your question isn't valid.

A good teacher will treat almost every student differently. They should be giving the students what they need to meet or exceed the standards. That means some will require different scaffolds and ways to express their learning.

All students should strive to reach the same goals, but they will need different tools and techniques to get there.

So asking if some students are treated differently isn't the right question.

So you write a different curriculum for each student? How many kids do have in a typical class or kids do you handle a semester? How do you treat them all differently?

    @FranchiseBlade

I don't have time for a long stupid drawn out discussion when the only thing I'm pointing out is you are not racist

Don't go into the nuances trying to avoid simplicity. Please and thank you

I'm trying to go into the nuances to avoid more misunderstanding.

But you're just above it all. I hope you are making more than your counterparts

What's hilarious is your limits of white liberalism. Yeah all those others are racist and we need to change everything but not me

What are you talking about? I didn't call anyone racist. I'm not sure what you mean.

Treat black differently, you are right that doesn't necessarily mean racist

But you're still above it all

Treating someone differently is based on whatever scaffolds or enrichment is needed to help them meet or exceed the standards. It needs to be culturally relevant and responsive.

Sure, it looks like he recently moved from teaching into college administration. But it looks like he was an associate professor or full professor of Education for the last 12 years, per his LinkedIn. And he has a PhD in Education from U of Cincinnati. And it looks like he has 13 publications: Roger Cleveland's research works | Eastern Kentucky University, Kentucky (EKU) and other places (researchgate.net). I can't tell if he's a giant in his field or anything, but he seems to have the markings of a credible, adequately qualified professional in the field of education. I don't know why you feel like you're in a position to put quotation marks around his expertise. The Board of Cy Fair thought he was adequately qualified when they hired him to do an audit.

I knew you were going here. The audit says treating kids differently in negative manner. Handing out punishment

You saw me in the other thread prove it after you mistakenly liked a post saying I didn't and you want to argue something I'm not talking about

But you're the one saying kids do get treated differently to their detriment but you wanna it's right to do so because kids are differentwhich I'm not arguing about so don't waste my ****in time just trying to be right about something

A PhD in Education not faculty diversity. That's something he made up apparently as a subject

Do you even know what a curriculum is?

You don't write curriculums for individuals.

    You say the dumbest ****?

The entire education field is based on individualizing lessons for different learning styles.

You are right I don't know what curriculum actually means. So you are right about something. I don't know the definition

Will you stop be a nagging girlfriend who has to be right about something. Is that satisfactory? I don't mind being a man and saying I was wrong. It's probably why you're acting like my chic trying to win something in the discussion

That idiot pgabriel doesn't know the definition of curriculum we know what he was trying to say but my God the teacher whose profession dictates I know the definition in me has to be an ass about it

It wasn't so much that they saw integration coming, it was because more blacks started moving into the surrounding areas... Northwood Manor, Scenic Woods and etc were all white... MB Smiley was the main High School at the time and it was a predominantly white high school back in the 60s, 60's and early 70's... In the late 70's things started to change... Carl Roaches went to MB Smiley..

    @jiggyfly

You write different lesson plans for each student, or do you just address the kids differently who are having trouble

I don't remember every student getting a different lesson. Everyone had to read the same **** or is one of using the word lesson incorrectly?

It isn't about writing a different curriculum. It is about giving students the tools they need to succeed.

If a student needs to be able to multiply 5 x 4 to meet the standard some students might need to have counters or blocks and put them into 5 groups of 4 and then count the total to realize the answer. Another student memorizes their multiplication tables. Another student counts by 5 four times. Another student draws an array of 5 rows and 4 columns.

An effective teacher will provide blocks or counters for the student that needs them to find the answer. The standard doesn't change. They still have to know the answer. The teacher might eventually ask students which ways they believe are the quickest as they progress in their comfort level with that standard.

A student who already knows the standard algorithm might be asked to find a different strategy to use so they approach solving the problem from a different angle, or be asked in a more algebraic way, such as 5 x _ = 20. What is the missing factor? Those students are exceeding this hypothetical standard. They might also be asked what other factors would have a product of 20.

Students who are in the group using counters today might be in the array group the next day, and they can move or change as their comfort allows. Scaffolds and tools can be removed and changed.

This is a simplified example, but hopefully you get the point. Different students need different tools, strategies and scaffolds to achieve the same standard. The standard shouldn't be lessened for any of the students, but the tools should be differentiated. Different students have different learning modalities, challenges and strengths. But it is less effective to tell a student that draws an array to meet the standard that are wrong and only the student who solves it with the algorithm is correct.
