He likely types and posts on one those testosterone keyboards. The keys are really hard to press down so you get a workout even when you are online. It enables you to be so strong and full of BS that you are capable of actually typing out dribble like my signature.
Perhaps toughness is different in Bulgaria. Green's gotta be tough like former Bulgarian NBA player, Georgi Clouchkov.
Hmm interesting that you would bring ethnicity in the conversation. Here’s something that somebody linked on Twitter: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bakla "many of which were held in high regard and performed the role of spiritual leaders" "in reality, the bakla thrives in numerous sectors of society, from the lower to the upper levels" Many in the West and especially in sexually repressed America think of "feminine" as a slur. Other cultures are different. But that’s a different topic. The question here is : can you be an NBA superstar without aggressiveness, assertiveness, toughness, and alpha personality.
U type sht like this And im considered the raving emotional green fan. Certain alpha personality and demeanor? first ":feminine" superstar? Green never had the chance to prove us what he got, u already written him off with your weird ass toxic masculinity mindset/sterotypes. It sht like this and booby ego to b right about mobley where i can confidently say u guys are not bias in your assessment of the rookie green To b a superstar all u need is the fking talent and the effort/drive to get there. What's next in order to b a superstar, grown men can't cry when they lose?
Sure why can't you be? Ray Allen, Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, Grant Hill, etc. are hardly considered players that had alpha-dog personalities but all were superstars or even Hall of Famers. You don't need to have raging Kevin Garnett demeanor to succeed in the NBA.
OK, I mean I don’t know what else to say and how to say it. You’re replying to a post that explicitly says that 1. Green can mature as a man or 2. he can still be a superstar even though he looks feminine, but that would be a first, a paradigm shift…. and then you say I have written him off. This league is full of stories of late bloomers. One guy, I HAVE pretty much written off was Bagley, but then he drops 25 on us and looks like All-world. Will have to see.
There's no fat shaming, the dude has no neck, it's a statement of fact. "Shaming" would be if I criticised him for it, which I didn't, I just pointed out that having a picture of a neckbeard would've been more effective.
this is peak masculinity/maturity NewAge is looking for. that and catching some rape case on the side.
What I have said and I still believe is: that being a superstar and a leader of a championship-caliber team requires a certain alpha personality and demeanor that Jalen Green just did not have. U looked at green and say dam he doesn't look like he has alpha potential or isn't manly enough he's not a superstar, that literally the act of writing someone off. That's not foolish, that's my experience of watching this league for 30 years tries to justify your mindset by "stating" how long u been watching the game. Like that matters. you guys to act that this does not matter when it has always mattered, till now, ... now, that's foolishness AKA your mind was already fking set that Green isn't gonna b a superstar not because u judge him by his skills, but b/c of how he looks/acts. = toxic masculinity mindset I'm surprised u don't sprout more bullsht like real men or superstar don't shred tears
This reminds me that one thread talking about how too much "urban music" was being played at Rockets games.
yes, correct. I evaluate players by demeanor and personality, that’s legitimate heuristics, that’s not bias. And I’m sorry to say, but my hunch was proven correct in the first couple of months. JG played like a …. I don’t want to say he played like a girl because that would be offensive to girls like Cynthia Cooper or Diana Taurasi, who play like dogs. But he played girl-ish-ly. What I don’t agree with is that this was a verdict, or having him written-off. That’s where you’re wrong. I have never said that. In fact, I have always said that it will be important how he reacts to being smacked around. The way to become a man is through adversity, you mature as a man dealing with adversity. For some it’s earlier for some it’s later. 19 is not too late, you won’t find a post where I say, “it’s over, this guy will be a sissy for the rest of his life". That;s,what I objected to in your characterization.
KG was great no doubt but he also had that fake tough guy act, he would not swing at Shaq for example. Sir Barkley did.
The photoshoot was funny, I remember that vividly. RIP KB. As a legit superstar, you have more leeway doing the stuff you really want. (I do think these photos are motivated by religion, style and color contrast.) As a budding and upcoming young star, you get more flak.
