I've seen this show mentioned quite a bit in the "what are you watching" thread. Thought it deserved it's own discussion thread. I did not read the comics...so I came into the series having no idea what it was. Turns out, it's one of the best shows on tv/streaming right now! Just the right combo of humor, action and drama...with an absolutely killer soundtrack. The storyline is deep but fun. It feels like each episode unravels more to the family mystery and throws out more suspense and questions. Fun watch...strongly recommend it. One thing I can't seem to come to grips with... Spoiler if The Commission can send hitmen to any point in time, why don't they just send Hazel and Cha-cha (!) to the point where each UA kid is born and kill them at that point? Seems like that would solve most of the problems/time-paradoxes that the UA creates. Ready for Season 3!
Yeah I could have sworn there was a thread for it, but I can't find it. Oh well. I am interested to see how they'll handle Elliot Page. I don't think it will be too difficult but I'm still interested to see how they do it.
Agreed. It should prove interested. . . unless they play Elliot as a male playing a female or something I am extremely curious about this as well. The Sparrows . . i think I generally would like to see them do more with their powers. Rocket River
got halfway thru the first season and got bored for some reason. then i already sorta forgot what happened, may rewatch it one of these days, but helen page is repelling now.
I think I watched a couple of these and did not return, will probably try and pick it back up this summer.
I thought this show came out 4-5 years ago but only had a 1 yr covid break... Yeah, they gotta move on from the ellen page arcs. It has some interesting bits to continue watching but the slog is not binge worthy.
I know they made some kinda portal mistake at the end, but don't remember much else. Did like it a lot. The characters and story were interesting. Look forward to more.
She/He cannot be the primary focus and alot of people like the other characters more want them to explore their stories Rocket River
The same thing happened for me, but then I did pick it up again and was entertained thoroughly once the show hit its stride.
This has been sitting in my backlog. Might try to get into it once I catch up on everything else. I guess it's a good sign that Netflix didn't kill it after 1 or 2 seasons.
he is still in it. I'm only on episode 2, but page is going to transition in the show too. at least that's what I read
Other than the slow down to explain Vanya to Victor, S3.1 and .2 we're pretty good. Glad they did explain it though. Will mean a lot to quite a few people. I'm totally down with Sloan.
