Dark but honest take from the Warriors owner. Chinese money is worth more than the Uyghurs.

If Hitler did not venture into Western Europe no one would have batted an eye at the Nazi atrocities. Uyghurs will be erased and it’s just doing business.

Money certainly might be a motivation but at least he's honest about our crocodile tears for the Muslims in Xinjiang. Where's the outrage about how our sanctions are starving millions of Muslims in Afghanistan? How about our decades long support of the abuses of Muslims in Palestine? And Saudi Arabia is our long-time ally while their human rights track record makes China look clean in comparison. We only care about international human rights violations when it suits our government's interests.

Also this clip is totally taken out of context and his point wasn't that we shouldn't care about the Uighurs but that he cares more about the issues happening domestically and that we should focus on cleaning up our backyard first. He's saying our top priority is to take care of our own people first and given all of our domestic issues, I agree with him.

This so much. Before Hitler's expansion, a large chunk of the nation had an infatuation with Hitler and his ethno-nationalism. "America First".

I'm just as curious what Elvin Hayes thinks about ride-sharing apps versus Yellow Cabs, what Sleepy Floyd thinks about non-Pizza Hut delivery or what John Lucas thinks about quitting drugs cold turkey without treatment centers.

Just for the record Palestine has besn occupied for a very long time, Saudi regime have been in power for a very long time. Crimea happened and Ukraine could be taken over. War on drugs is ruining Latin America. This country as a whole don't care and I know we can't solve everything.

At the same time in the US we have distrusts amongst the different groups of population, increasingly polarized constituents in this country, and a economy with heavy inflation and a destabilizing healthcare system.

In terms what I care about (and I say this as a minority and an immigrant from China that lived almost all my life in the US) I care much more about the things that would actually impact my life and those that I really care about (largely domestic issues). I wish the world is a better place and I'm sadden when there's atrocities anywhere. Learn about it, speak about it, all good. That said, until we fix ourselves, it'd be hard to fix others. Efforts and resources should make that a priority and don't be mad if others chose a different priority. Otherwise, we'd just cause more problems for ourselves and those we get involved with. Look at the mess left behind in Iraq and Pakistan, does our involvement really help? Jay Z said I can't help the poor if I'm one of them. We can't help the world if we still got a long ways to go ourselves.

And if he had never ventured into USSR territory and Japan didn't bomb Pearl Harbor, they might have actually succeeded in eliminating Jews from Europe.

Would not want Chamath as my owner, despite all of the success. I understand not wanting to step on China's toes for fear of financial consequences, but you don't have to go full puppet for them.

Did he say it because he has a financial interest in China, or because (like the vast majority of us) it genuinely isn’t a thing he spends much time worrying about? Hard to say from the short video clip.

not "front-page" headline for major news outlets, not even Fox News nor OAN,
    which sadly proves his point

He's stating the ugly truth which is no one really does care about them. Nobody cares about most people who are suffering int his world. How many people lift a finger for them other than to express outrage against him?

Everyone is so self-righteous. All these people who claim the CCP are the big enemy and talk about the Uyghurs but what do they do? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. They don't care. Don't even write a letter or anything. Slacktivism at its worse.

Now everyone has to distance himself for saying what everyone actually feels. The Uyghurs are below everyone's line. Along with billions of other people.
