Very hard, between the 2 bands you have so many classic songs such as "Rock You Like A Hurricane", "Radar Love", "Immigrant Song" and "Mr Roboto". I'll lean Depeche Mode.

Haha. The GoGo’s are a Hall of Fame band now. Nothing wrong at all with fun but that’s all you get.

The greats move you though. They make you feel things you haven’t felt before. Depeche Mode defied the odds. What they were doing was not meant to last in the eyes of many.

Gotta say I’ve been to or been a part of literally 1000’s of shows. I love so many genres of music. The electricity of a Depeche Mode show is second to none.

Again, I really like Duran Duran.

Of course music is subjective. The great thing is it makes people feel differently, and I totally dig that.

Depeche mode for me. Some of their songs are still being played by current shows or movies. Narcos: mexico played never let me down again and enjoy the silence in season 1 and 2. Barely know a few of Duran Duran songs. I have a few depeche mode albums.

Not even close for me : Depeche Mode >>>>> Duran Duran.

I'll even go so far as to say the Splenda version of Depeche Mode known as Cause & Effect >>> Duran Duran. :D

Oooh... damn. I'd have a tough time with this one. I may lean towards Depeche Mode for overall works, but that New Order Substance album was one of the foundations of 1980's alternative/dance music. If I had to pick my favorite album out of both groups, it would be Substance, and it ain't even close for me.

Where's the option for Dire Straits and Devo?

Or is this not an "80s bands that start wtih D" poll?

Well, if you want sugar in your recipe, you don't use Splenda. You use the real thing. I loved Cause & Effect, but they were too much of a Depeche Mode knock-off. I'd say they were underrated, but the sound really wasn't original, so I'll just say they were overlooked instead. :D And kind of short-lived, too.
