    I don't think so.

We all knew coming in this was a rebuild / tank / development season.

I think Silas has done a good job of developing several of these young guys - particularly those who are probably part of the future.
Sengun, Green, Christopher, KJM, Tate, Mathews & Brooks. Each one has showed improvement over the course of the season and that's what we need to see .... while we earn an early draft pick to add to them.

The Rockets lead the league in FT attempts.
They lead the league in shots in the paint.
They get a high percentage of open & wide open looks from 3.
They can't defend .... we expected that from a young team, but it's made worse by Wood's refusal to play anything resembling defense.
    .

He's also found out that Twiggy & is not part of the future. Dude refuses to defend big men under any circumstances - Not worth the max and should be gone sooner than later.

I think they have also realized that KPJ isn't the Harden Clone point guard of the future .... at best he's a 6th man and that may be asking too much. We'll likely see more of Christopher in that spot between now and seasons end.

I really don't understand what you guys are complaining about ... the consensus is to tank it up, well that's just what's happening.

Yes, give it to Lucas for the interim and if no improvement then do a search in the offseason. Many coaches would die for the chance to coach two top 3 picks (next year) and be one of the few NBA head coaches.
Sooner than that hopefully, but the Rockets organization no longer cares about winning.

The Rockets are not really committing to the youth movement. At the moment they are frankly just a bad team.

If we look at players specifically with more than 20 minutes per game on this team, the Rockets have 7 of them. Of these 7, if we remove KPJ and Green, we have an average age of 28 years old. Pistons, Magic, Thunder and even Atlanta all play field a much younger roster for players when looking at players with more than 20 minutes (In fact, even Spurs/Wolves are younger than us in this department).

We're a team playing mostly veterans at this point trying to win, and losing badly. Our roster age and minute distribution are closer to Kings/Pelicans, which is not exactly a team you want to compared against, for anything.

Yeah, Christopher has been the most impressive of our young guards.

But, hey, with initials like "J.C."..........;)

Honestly at this point play all the rookies more. This is the year to b experimenting and finding out who can play point guard.

It's complete insanity. Imagine supporting running no strategy or schemes on either side of the court, playing our vets over our youth and claiming it's "developing them," holding nobody into account for piss poor effort and lack of fundamentals? And then trying to negate it all with some complete wet-blanket excuse of "you're just not ready for a rebuild, of course we suck." How do these people even enjoy sports when they understand so little about them? It's insanity.

Yep, coach gets all the blame when the team loses.....should get all the blame
    when the team wins.

Coaches can talk technique, scouting reports, X's & O's until they are blue in the face, these
kids have to execute and take that knowledge on to the court.

That 28 average is worthless. First you took out the two youngest players that would bring it down. Then you kept the 33 year old that would bring it up. The only players 28 or older getting 20+ minutes are Gordon and Theis. Gordon is the only player over 28 in the top 9 in total minutes played. Also, players 8-10 average 18 per game and their average age is 21. The next guy in minutes is Christopher at 16 per and he has been playing 20 minutes a game the entire month. The Rockets are committing to the youth movement.

Perhaps its insanity but good for them if they enjoy it...for me honestly silas ruined this season( and the last season as well) i am not even watching highlights let alone games.. i even lost interest in other games because i realize NBA is fake.. because silas is not the only one doing this.. a lot of other teams are... this also made me appreciate less the success rockets have had in recent years because majority of the league tanked anyway...

oth i now appreciate more those celtics titles when there was only 8 teams in the league.... theres no more than 8 real teams today anyway....
