He would get minutes somewhere but as an off the bench type scorer. He’s just not consistent enough and too sloppy. He has the gifts but to maximize them would take years and a lot of dedication. I understand the experiment right now but he’ll likely end up traded or as our 6th man.
I could see him slotted in as a SG/SF role on some teams starting. Even some good teams, possibly. The Nuggets with Murray out don't have a true SG, and I could see him fitting a need there until Murray returns. The Lakers would probably start him as well. But yeah, to your point I think most teams would bring him off the bench as a sixth man. I actually think that would be a good role for him here too. Something akin to what we did with Gordon during those deep playoff runs. A guy who you keep on the floor late in games and give 20-30 mins per night but is not in the starting lineup and is expected to bring a scoring boost off the bench.
What an entertaining 4th Q! Great win! Watched whole game but only 4Q was worth a damn! Tate is a wizard in the paint! E Gor was E Gawd and carried us long enough for teammates to get going! Green’s drive to go up to 103 was nice. His D picked up in key moments Wood’s baseline turnaround J to go up to 108 was beautiful. I’d like to see that moar Gordon’s sexy pass bt two defenders to Wood for the slama-jama to go to 110 - noice! Followed by KPJ’s b2b threes to go to 116 and up by 12! Yummy! KPJ on the Rockets busted play late in the shot clock and 5 feet behind the 3 pt line and BAM -Three ball prayer answered! “I’m lovin’ it!”
Who would want him though? Perhaps as part of a larger deal. Maybe with EG next year as it’s both their final year here. I just can’t picture any team wanting an erratic, inconsistent player like him that’s not really good at any one thing. They’d acquire him on “potential”. Prob relegated to G league.
He has a bright future. If he could only shoot the 3 more consistently he’d be highly valued in this league. I like JC as well. You can see the trajectory into the future and imagine how good these guys can be couple years from now.
Beth is ruthless. Tonight all is good in Rockets land, no arguing, just enjoy beating the Spurs...... DD
Cause he's gonna want a big ass contract since that will b his last big one. For a rebuilding team, Eric Gordon is a player u want to get u over the hump alongside your franchise player, but he's not someone u want build around. That's just my take. If we he wants to be signed on for cheap, I say keep him but he really deserves to go somewhere to win it all. Man done his time like pj Tucker, set him free to make more moola or win a ring.
