They were digging deep on that one to find some way to torture data into making it seem like there was a positive. Overall players are shooing nearly 52% against Jalen Green....meaning he gives players over a 7 point boost to their typical shooting percentages when he guards them. Jalen Green is so terrible at defense, he turns every player he guards into a 60% from the field and 40% from 3 caliber player. He's one of the worst defenders in the history of the sport.....but I'm glad that one guy found an outlier stat likely based on almost no possessions to go with.
Green's issue is that he gets lost on defense. He's better squared up on his opponent. Honestly, the entire team is lost on defense which tells me its' more of a coaching and leadership issue.
seems like a true successor to andrew wiggins someone pls remind me did wolves got any of value in wiggins trade or they had to give up something?
Wut? Why make such a premature statement for a 19 year old who hasn't even played half a season. I swear you guys trolling. A 19 year old rookie averaging 19 ppg on good efficiency and you think that pegs him in a corner for just being the next Wiggins? Why?
Also even if we compare Green's first half of his rookie year were he had the horrible first 15 games or so with horrible efficiency, he still beats out Wiggins complete rookie year in terms of scoring efficiency and by a wide margin also. That gap will only grow when Green's complete rookie year campaign is over.
Moving on up. If you do the math of the rate of moving goal posts by Green haters, It's going to Michael Jordan by the end of the season.
