Gordon and the pick, PLUS Wood hedges Zion’s health and possible exit as his contract ends in 2 years. Wood as a 6th man works as well, Wood’s 20/10 will help any team. The value for a quarter is two dimes and nickel. Add Porter into this mix if more talent is needed.
Portland fans seem to want KPJ and C Wood. But they're dreaming if they think they can get C Wood from us for anything less than a first-round pick. Should the Portland Trail Blazers trade for Kevin Porter, Christian Wood? https://ripcityproject.com/2022/01/08/portland-trail-blazers-trade-kevin-porter-jr-christian-wood/ On KPJ: On C Wood:
This was exactly the point was making in another thread, Wood and Porter are considered "troubled youngsters", which is not good for Rockets.
My 2 realistic trades: EG to Cleveland for Rubio and 2 SRPs (currently 33 & 39) Wood to Washington for Hachimura and Bryant G: KPJ/Green/Christopher F: Tate/Martin/Hachimura C: Sengun/Garuba Add 2 firsts and 2 seconds to that youth movement.
Off the top of my head, I do not recall a time when a team at the bottom of the league allowed a player to literally quit in the middle of the game and then come back after just a one game suspension, and we had two of them in the same game. From memory, Brooklyn (then NJ) Nets once had an incredibly talented guy called Terrence Williams, who was repeated punished on the team (and even sent to the D-League as part of his punishment), and he was eventually sent to the Rockets for a first round pick (Morey called it his worse trade of all time). One of the reasons he was given up on by the team so quickly was because his toxic attitude. DeMarcus Cousins is probably another good example, except he's infinitely more talented. Wood and KPJ are closer to Terrence Williams, than they are to Cousins. Both of these guys get the most touches on this team, but neither of them good enough to warrant any attitude issues. Both of these guys frankly should be on incredibly tight leashes. It's a terrible example for the rookies and sophomores if one of the worse team in the league has to accommodate two players that most of the league would consider toxic, when they have perfectly fine young players to work with.

Warriors in: Christian Wood. Warriors out: James Wiseman. Moses Moody. Nemanja Bejelica. Bulls in: Jerami Grant. Bulls out: Patrick Williams. Derrick Jones Jnr. Pistons in: James Wiseman. Derrick Jones Jnr. 2023 Milwaukee FRP via Houston. 2024 Brooklyn 2RP via Houston. 2024 Golden State 2RP via Houston. Pistons out: Jerami Grant Rockets in: Patrick Williams. Moses Moody. Nemanja Bejelica. Rockets out: Christian Wood. 2023 Milwaukee FRP via Houston. 2024 Brooklyn 2RP via Houston. 2024 Golden State 2RP via Houston. Bit of an overpay by us. But i think these two could be our 3 + 4 of the future. Andeans we could look more towards Jaden Ivy if we want to reduce KPJs role in the future. Also would still have Eric Gordon, so may still be able to get a 1st out of him. KPJ(Ivey?)/Green/Moody/PatWill/Sengun Jaygup/GarryBird/Tate/KJ/Garuba
I feel ya I've been dreaming of something like this for months ... but it's never going to happen, especially after Wood's recent mutiny I cannot think of a starting-caliber C who would be less interesting to the Dubs They have meticulously constructed a team-first culture in that clubhouse and they just added Klay to the league's top contender Wood is basically the anti-Warrior Draymond would eviscerate him
Ya I can’t see a good/smart team trading for wood, only a team that can’t look past superficial stats (like a sac)
Or the Knicks I heard something about a Nerlens rumor earlier today If we can squeeze a late-lotto FFRP out of em, I'm down
You mentioned the Kangz before. If we could squeeze Fox outta them with a couple of our (late) picks, with Wood and.. Gordon (sorry Ego) would be all over it.
Gordon to the Bulls for Dosunmu, Derrick Jones Jr. and Troy Brown Jr. works in the trade machine. Would really set the Bulls up to contend for a couple seasons. The Jr.'s are contract filler but get us out of Gordon's next 2 seasons and Dosunmu is a decent prospect to pick up.
I really liked Dosunmu in the draft .... but there's a flaw in your trade scenario: You need to create two roster spots to make it work. Roster spots is one thing that all of these trade machines ignore in accepting or rejecting a trade. They really only take into account cap space and trade matching dollars.
That's fair. Pay/waive one of the others then. I'd imagine neither would be happy about the trade but I think picking up Dosunmu would be sweet. I hoped Stoner was looking at him with 23/24 I can't believe he fell to the 2nd round.
