I respect your take. But I want a QB developer/Offensive guru type guy. Especially since it looks like Pep's going to Carolina. We will have to agree to disagree on this one.
He can’t be serious right?? Is he this upset about dolphins firing Flores after the teams turnaround??
Seems a bit naïve to say that the Vice President of Football Operations merely "has a role" when reports and signs have shown otherwise. While I think Mills was decent considering, I think you're overrating him more than most would. Time will tell. None of this is his fault. Most of those guys you mentioned predated the Pastor at the Pats. He didn't come on until 2013. Moss was 2010. Dillion was 2004. Chung was drafted in 2009. Talib was 2012. We're all hoping they hire someone to put it all together. I really don't understand the love for McDaniels or any Belichick disciple. His coaching tree has been terrible and unsuccessful. I'm not excited about continuing to try and copy the Patriots way because there's only 1 person that created that and he ain't coming here.
He's in the business side of things and is basically Cal's right hand man. I believe Cal's telling the truth and will continue to believe this until I've got a reason not to believe this. J.C. Jackson was drafted while Easterby/Caserio was there. Chung? etc... So they weren't running a church/adult daycare up in Foxboro while Easterby was there. I think Caserio got the best QB in this draft. He will only get better as Caserioputs more talented pieces around him. Like a better OL/RB's/TE's etc... It might take a couple of years to get all of the pieces in place. Hopefully sooner if Watson can stay out of the slammer and be trade for the type of haul it was mentioned that Miami wanted to pay. I'm wanting a guy that's proven as an OC and developer of QB's. This describes McDaniels to a T. So it's not so much McDaniels in particular, you're just part of the all things Foxboro haters club?
Taking out the trash was necessary. (Players) Pep getting a better job, no way reflects on the Texans org. However it might be a sign of thing to come with Culley's future employment.
The Vice President of Football Operations is not on the business side of things. He's literally listed as being on the football side of things by the Texans. Texans Front Office JC Jackson is the only one you mentioned that was actually drafted while Easterbunny was there.
He's essentially Cal's/Caserio's gopher. Do you think Easterby's making any personnel calls? I dont. Like I said you dont believe Cal. I do.
If Culley was hired as a short-term coach, then now is the time to move on. But, we don’t know for sure what Cal and Nick were thinking when they hired Culley. If the Watson trade goes down in the next couple of months like the Texans want, we should want the next coach being involved with the upcoming draft and leading the new team forward starting now. If Culley is not fired and the team improves next season, then it will be hard to cut loose a coach if the team is showing improvement. Once again, is Culley really the long-term coach the Texans want. Do the Texans have another coach that they want, but they are not sure he would accept the job? I don’t know. Do the Texans even know what they want to do. Nick does seem to be pretty bright. I’m just completely confused where this team is headed right now in regards to the coaching.
Texans are waiting to see if McDaniels wants the job now or next year…and McDaniels won’t know till after patriots season is done and McDaniels sits and talks with his family.
