This helps the Texans if their owner who is a big advocate of Watson is running the show and not asking for anyone’s opinion
Two rumored D4 spots (Denver and Miami) now have HC openings too. Wonder if they end up with a D4/Bieniemy combo?
I told y’all that’s why Watson was so adamant on only going to the Dolphins. He wants a black head coach and gm. Watch them hire Eric Bienamy just to appease Watson.
Deshaun will be the Texans QB in 2022. He has a NO TRADE clause, he's not going to a losing team, so this leaves only Pittsburgh as an alternative and Pittsburgh is not and will not trade for Deshaun.
Watson single-handedly causing chaos in multiple organizations is nothing short of impressive. To say this has "nothing" to do with him would be a bit presumptuous. Obviously Flores was no longer in line with what the GM/Owner wanted. Hopefully this does expedite some sort of deal. Wouldn't mind Flores coaching here, even though he may just be the African american/defensive coach version of a BOB (somebody who wants more GM control), and gets his team to play hard but streaky.
With his extension kicking in, the Texans have to move him. They could afford his $10 million last year without him playing, but that won't be the case this year. Even if somehow a miracle happened and they mended fences and somehow he considered the Texans as his only destination... on paper, the team is still better off long term with the assets they can receive for him (presuming they play that game smartly).
