Show me one instance of him dribbling down the court where it leads to an actual fast break? I can show you numerous where it doesn't, like game after game after game.
How does dribbling = athleticism? Steve Nash was arguably the greatest dribbler of all time and I don't think he could even dunk. Anyway, I'm done with this one. Agree to disagree. You don't like his style of play? I get it.
No, he is a good and a willing passer. He sulks when he doesn't get touches from what I've heard. Wood is a superior scorer. Bol has untapped scoring ability. His work ethic is poor. His contract is cheap, and he's 22.
Literally, the 1st 60 seconds of the game last night: 1 Wood wins the tip 2. Wood rolls to the rim and dunks over his defender 3. Wood gets the defensive rebound and dribbles down court and lays it in for 2. Above you said CW is ineffective at dribbling on a fast break, can't rebound, and can't score in the paint when defended? I literally lol'd after our conversation yesterday. Again, you have some sort of personal beef against CW's style of play but it seems you now are victim to confirmation bias after he makes one bad play. He's an above average big man and you'd be hard pressed to replace him with a more productive player. If they can trade him and get an upgrade, I'm all for it. Just not sure how that actually gets executed in real life. The dude is a legit NBA big man and somebody is gonna happily pay his contract. But back on point, I say take a flyer on Bol Bol as a backup big if you can get him for cheap. I think he has more upside than CW but right now the NBA gutters are filled with high potential guys that never lived up. As of today, CW is 100% better than Bol.
Crap! Bol Bol and Cade =all stars https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...denver-nuggets-rodney-mcgruder-2nd-round-pick Sources: Detroit Pistons acquiring Bol Bol from Denver Nuggets for Rodney McGruder and 2nd-round pick
OMFG - we need height and atleticism - we can beat that deal - give up a first for the guy....come on Stone pull your HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS and get us some height. DD
Dang. That's all it takes to get a 2Bol? If he's so good, maybe he'll help Detroit win some games and get them out of the worst record in the league.
lol. One of these is not like the others. There is (was) plenty of room for 2Bol. I don't hate Theis but the dude is a great stop gap player, and that's it. What you see is what you get, and nothing more (and nothing less). Wood and Sengun are both potential all-stars if their careers click. Only way Theis gets to an all-star game is if he buys a ticket. I don't hate the guy but he is what he is. An average rotation player. I wish I were an average NBA rotation player.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...d-deal-denver-nuggets-bol-bol-failed-physical Back on the market - if the physical he failed was not all that important, let's take a shot at him. DD
If it was not all that important, then Detroit probably would have taken that shot. They're in the same rebuilding phase we are.
