Spectators in attendance told the Daily Mail that Henig, who had his breasts removed, won the 50-yard freestyle and proceeded to pull down the top of his swimsuit.

The whole topic of transgender in sports is interesting because exactly where you draw that line ends up being arbitrary and open to interpretation.

Besides, if Woman A is a world class athlete because has certain physical characteristics, such as fast twitch muscles, why are those differentiating characteristics acceptable but other characteristics (that are shared with men) not acceptable.

Apparently, in the Olympics, they've changed that standard a number of times. Checking genitals is unreliable. Checking testonerone is unreliable. Checking genes is unreliable since just looking at X and/or Y is unreliable. Literally nobody has developed a gender test that everybody agrees on. Leaving it up to a bunch of dudes to check t*** doesn't do it either. lol

I get that transgender women competing in sports is problematic and controversial, but why is there a need to call transgender women, 'dudes'?

Why are people so threatened by a transgender woman?

This. I understand the discussion of transgender people in sports but there is no real reason to call them by their former gender… it’s just to be mean, which is really nasty. I would imagine it isn’t easy to be transgender.

Don't you know it's cool now because Netflix has shows with the gays and the trans. All kids want to be transgender because it's an easy life.

Just in case some bozo goes all libtard on me, I'm being sarcastic.

If you want to know whether someone who brings up this topic sincerely cares about women sports and being fair to women or brings it up to trash transgender people, just examine how they refer to the transgender folks.

So it's obvious from this thread that @tinman is in the later camp. And that's the issue I have with conservatives and right wingers. They don't use this topic to sincerely address fairness to women. They just use it to trash transgender folks. Their long history of not giving a **** about women's rights says this also.

They could have a separate transgender race, but it's BS to let them deprive women of the chance to win.

I dont think it's problem until it's a problem. If transgenders go and dominate women's sports, then there is an unfair advantage. If transgenders win at a rate closely consistent with their percentage of the population, then I don't see an issue with it especially since I don't see any dude cutting off his package just so he can get a trophy competing against women.

Isn't there a thread in Hangout about not dating them? I guess I wouldn't want to take a woman home from the club and she ends up pulling her **** out. I dunno...it's a crazy world...but to each his/her own.
