Some players are facilitators and some are accessory parts There is a difference when Mobley can sit back and allow Rubio, Garland, Sexton, Okoro to drive and penetrate and sit pretty and get the lob pass or put back. Kevin Love who sucks and is ancient looks amazing in Mobleys absence. Taking advantage of said players creating for him. The decrease in proficiency from 3 by most of these rookies at the same time is an indication of hitting the rookie wall. Usually around 25 to 30 games. You can ignore that if you wish....doesn't change the fact that a player may be getting tired or running out of gas. Merely stating that there are 4 months to go. Not conveniently ending after the first 17 games of the season as you wish. Allow me to show you Green's stats at the end of the year.... after all we are talking ROTY....not ROT1QY (Rookie of The 1st Quarter Year) Yeah, your bias doesn't show blatantly
The Rockets are off to a 1-3 start this month, but center Alperen Sengun has yet to play a game in 2022 because of a right ankle sprain that sidelined him for the Rockets’ last four games. He is set to miss at least another week. Sengun returned to the court for the first time on Friday and has yet to participate in any of the Rockets’ group drills, though he continues to build out his individual workouts. On Saturday, he repped defensive slides and dribbling in addition to shooting. “I’m feeling better compared to the first week,” Sengun said. “I’m improving my mobility moves also. It’s better now. We started two days ago. More quick actions.” Sengun did not travel with the Rockets to away games in Philadelphia and Washington, instead remaining in Houston to receive treatment and strengthen his ankle. “I miss the team. I miss playing basketball. I miss being on the court,” he said. “I’m sad, I’m upset because I cannot fight with the team on the court right now.” The injury rendered Sengun unable to play in the Rockets’ losses to the 76ers and the Nuggets, and unable to take on matchups he so relishes against premier NBA centers Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic. Sengun will also miss a matchup with Minnesota center Karl Anthony Towns on Sunday as well as a rematch against Embiid and Philadelphia on Monday. Sengun said he watched keenly how teammates Daniel Theis and Christian Wood defended Jokic and Embiid, even picking up some pointers from Theis. He couldn’t help envy from creeping in, though. “I think (Theis) is really good at analyzing the opposing team’s center,” Sengun said. “He is also teaching me, helping me about analyzing who I am going to defend in the next game. I wanted to play on those games against Jokic and Embiid. I’m really upset because of that.” Before his injury, Sengun was only just calibrating his body to the physical demands and pace of the NBA game. Upon his return, the rookie may require time to get back to the level he was at. “I am working a lot right now during my injured period, but it will be good,” he said. “I think I will need a couple games again to adjust myself again to the pace, but I believe that it will be good. I will not have a problem.”
he needs to be humble, visit g league and chuck 10 jumpers a game.. you cant become a good 3 pt shooter like this or shooting 1-2 3s a game...just cant be done...player needs to play... singer needs to sing..writer needs to write ... this is how you become good....
Made Baby Jokic his padawan... Thesis won me back with this. You can see in his face that he is a good guy.
Theis and Wood need to be traded on the strength of this quote alone. He’s learning how to play better defense by watching them! Lmao!!! Might as well learn how to be a better 3 point shooter while watching Nwaba while he’s at it. Theis is good at analyzing lol. Analyzing how he’s going to get dominated.
LOL BEAT ME TO IT... this would perfectly explain Senguns falling off defensively recently...and just you wait until his english improves, Silas will also be putting a lot of weak rubbish into his head....
I don't know why communicating is so difficult in this forum? Mobile-JGreen issue is sensitive here and I gave the names of other 4 rookies and we still got answer focusing for Mobley. It is very simple : You should compare JGreen to Giddey/Barnes/Wagner/Cunningham. All of them plays around 30-35 minutes per game.Their numbers (points, rebs, assists,fg%) : Barnes: 14.9, 8.1, 3.5, 48.7 Wagner: 15.8, 4.7, 2.6, 45.3 Cunningham : 15.3, 5.9, 5.4, 38.6 Giddey: 11.1, 7.5, 6.3, 39.6 JGreen : 15.5. 3.0, 2.1, 40.1 League averages : 10.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists. All other four rookies have numbers higher than league averages. JGreen has higher number in points but lagging behind rebounds and assists. You can expect ROY has lower numbers than league average in several departments. It is clear that there are bunch of rookies better than JGreen at the moment. I hope JGreen will be one of the best in the future but he is not there yet. Some rookies did something spectacular such as Giddey-the youngest NBA triple double, Yurt7 passed Shaq for the most consecutive 12+ rebounds grabbing rookie (only 1 game behind of Blake Griffin),.. We didn't hear any extraordinary success from JGreen yet also. Anyway, hope he becomes as successful as we wish. Meanwhile if Sengun played 30 minutes per game, his numbers would be (theoretically) 15 points 8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 50 % fg. In that case Sengun would be one of the leading contender for ROY.
Hopefully he actually meant that he is learning what NOT to do and was just savvy enough not to say it out loud.
Better to loan him to Anadolu Efes for the remaining of season (they need a big man after Sanli's departure and Petrushev's failure). He can experience a real training, Euroleague play-off experience. It will be more helpful than playing Mickey Mouse games in G-League. Houston can get some cash from Efes also. Every little helps.
He is not there yet. He was playing close to 20 ppg before his injury provided there were no foul problems.
I also believe Alpi is good enough to start in an NBA team but prefer to see him in Euroleague Final-Four rather than trash G-League.
Oh, do you mean the Rockets play like a GLeague team or was he sent to the GLeague which is news to me. If it is the former, the opposition is still NBA level.......only the Rockets are playing bad bball.
