Meshuggah is coming March 17th to Warehouse Live and I'm planning on going. Since I don't have any friends who are into metal I thought I'd cast the net into Clutchfans!

I haven't seen them live since Violent Sleep of Reason. Last show I went to was their tour after Koloss.

I want to go but I don't know if I will. Never heard of Converge or Torche, and it's on a Thursday.

BTW, wtf is taking them so long to put something new out?

Is that the band with a bunch of insane Jewish dudes with impaired spelling skills?

@KingCheetah you shouldn't start with Bleed; they have more accessible songs. Plus, that video is absurd.

And that video is a shortened version of the song that leaves out the best part. Start at around 4:40 in the video below. Listen to that damn geetar. Then when it's done start over at the same time and listen for the drums. Then realize that the drummer is simultaneously playing in two different time signatures, wtf. Then go back a third time and listen to it all together with your eyes closed.

I guarantee you'll be touching yourself by the end. The riff is just too damn sexy.

A couple of my bandmates might wanna go. Maybe I'll join you. I'm more of a punk dude, but I appreciate metal. I like technical proficiency.

You must be a Rush fan as well then. If you never got to see them live, then you didn't get your lessons in technical proficiency. ;)

I'm not in Houston and never really listened to them, but I'm waiting for Slipknot to come back around my parts. Haven't seen them, and had a friend invite me last time. Couldn't go, and have regretted it since.

My last concert was 36 crazyfists, which is one of my all time favorite bands.

I'm a big fan of both. And Meshuggah band members are fans of Rush:

I'm not a huge fan, more of a High on Fire or SOD fan when it comes to metal, but have heard the shows are unbelievable. The truth is I find it a little hard to listen through an entire album. It's just too much all at once. That said, it usually feels like the best 20 minutes of my life.

I'd also like to hear more local Texas grown metal. This story really peaked my interest: https://www.texasstandard.org/stories/a-tour-of-texas-underground-metal-scene/

Yeah, never got to see them. My bass player is a huge Rush fan. They are undoubtedly great. Canada has some great musicians. My favorite is Propagandhi.
