Actually, you can follow along the pbp on NBA.com and watch the actual scoring clips. Before the Martin putback dunk, the Rockets had 72 points, so after the dunk, they should have 74. If you look at the next possession where the KMJ fouls a Wizard, they show the Rockets still only have 72 points. Then you look at the next play after that where Beal scores a basket, suddenly the Rockets have 75 points on the broadcast. It was all jacked up.

Here's a link to the NBA.com pbp and you can watch the broadcast score on each possession : https://www.nba.com/game/hou-vs-was-0022100569/play-by-play?period=Q3

He calls Green the next Corey Brewer. Y'all shouldnt take his posts seriously esp when he tries to analyze Green.

Could also be interpreted as him wanting us to win so we fall out of the top 3 and can't pick him

I also looked at this pbp. It was 69-65, Wood got a dunk and a foul, so it was 71-65, he hit the FT and it was 72-65. So technically, this is correct. It was a bit after that things started going haywire.

Here's the clip of Wood hitting the free throw. It will be 72-65 after that. https://www.nba.com/stats/events/?G...itle=Wood Free Throw 1 of 1 (18 PTS)&sct=plot

It could also be interpreted as he watches a lot of basketball and just saw a game-winning shot being made and is re-tweeting it. lol. :D

I'm glad it was KPJ who made the game winner. It will be good for his morale and it should give him confidence.

I disagree I thought KpJ had a good game. B-B+. Yeah his efficiency was bad but he made up for it with his energy on the court and assertiveness. He had like 4 steals, 7 rebs and 8 asts so he was all over the court trying to make things happen. I think effort is also important not just efficiency cuz uf you are active then your teammates will respond positively as well. It doesnt show on the box score but stuff like that matters.

I know people say he should've passed the ball to Green but tbh it doesnt matter, the only thing that mattered was he milked the clock to ensure a win or OT scenario. After he milked the clock it would depend on the situation, he felt the 3 was the best way and it worked so nobody should criticize him. Even if he bricked it he still milked the clock so it was still the correct play.

    Nah.
He hit an amazing game winner but was mediocre to piss-poor otherwise.
And even the game winner came on a dubious decision out of the final set.

And as far as the criticism, he's earned that...all of it.
Routinely poor play compounded by routinely poor attitude displays during games.
And last time out he literally quit on the team...MID-GAME!!! He actually walked out on the very team that has bent over backwards to support him and put him in position to succeed.

So yeah, great win on an amazing shot but it seems ridiculously silly for his fans to act as though this is some sort of redemption moment that erases all that came before it.

Even seasoned vets like Clyde Drexler screw this up.

For as much as the advanced stats don't like Green, they HATE KPJ.

Worse ws/48 and BPM than Green, while being two years older.

Coming into this game, Green was shooting 32.7% on 3s, KPJ stood at 32.8%. No difference to speak of.

So is this your best attempt at an arguement for Green taking the shot over a better defender just to make the godawful Green fans happy?

I couldn't be happier for the win, and the shot by KPJ was honestly amazing. Silas and KPJ embracing was a great moment given all this team has been through over the past few games.

But I really feel this front office and coaching staff is way too emotionally attached to KPJ at the point guard position to see this thing rationally right now. KPJ didn't just have a bad game (aside from the game winner) today. He's been having bad games. He has a high turnover rate and low assist rate. He is inefficient as a scorer near the rim, a bad three point shooter, and pump fakes way too much, often pump faking his way out of easy short shots, only to shoot much more difficult ones. He doesn't orchestrate the offense well as a PG, plain and simple.

I'm not saying to cut ties with him. But maybe try him out at SF and slot someone else into the PG role and see how things go? We're almost at the halfway point, and his skills as a point guard aren't developing, not by much. If that doesn't work, maybe he's better suited for the 6th man position?

Look, all I'm saying is that we need to be able to see things analytically, and I wish we had a Morey-esque perspective on this, because if we did I think we'd all realize that after the halfway point of the season it's probably worth pivoting strategy a little and figuring out if KPJ is part of the future, and if so, where he fits.
