Boy… what a shot by KPJ… and what a stupid decision to put the ball in his hands for the last shot when he was absolutely terrible the majority of this game. Silas looks like a genius to some but I see it differently.

Hopefully that shot sparks something in KPJ I haven’t seen yet, but I’m afraid that humility i thought he needed isn’t coming any time soon.

Honestly, if anyone thought that was a well-run play, they gotta get their head checked.

It's not so much the fact that KPJ took the final shot, I'm more than happy for KPJ to take a set shot from 3 from an out-of-timeout play.

The problem is out of the timeout, they give the ball to a guy shooting 2-12 to run iso. If you want to run isolation, at least give it to the guys that are actually better scorers in the game (Gordon and Green, heck even Wood if he was in the post).

Just a mind boggling move that I cannot wrap my head around. I'm almost annoyed the shot went in because it was such an incredibly bad decision and just further encourages and reinforces bad habits of this team.

You're a idiot. Everytime you post you're wrong. Is Melo out the league yet?

It was a fantastic decision. KPJ had the best height advantage and knew he'd get a good look with a stepback. Neto isn't tall nor athletic enough to challenge KPJ. Silas made a good basketball IQ decision

It's a stepback 3 point jump shot for a 33% 3 point shooter, shooting 2-12, when the game is tied. It doesn't matter if KPJ had a height advantage, it's a tough shot even when you are unguarded.

Even a stepback contested 2 would have been a better shot, and a much higher percentage.

No its not lol. You're angry because you're prolly were one of the idiots disparaging KPJ the last few days, only for him to break our 8 game losing streak with a game winner

K bro. The Melo callback is weird. Semi stalkerish. I honestly think you have me confused… or maybe just lay off the pipe tonight for a bit.

The KPJ/JG pick and pop was not at all a bad play, especially in terms of developing our young guards for the future. The most critical aspect of the play was to not turn it over or shoot it too early and leave time remaining.

Also, the stepback three is the best shot in KPJ's bag.

If you are annoyed, you are a miserable tightass and need to chill out.

It may have been the better option because the height advantage but I highly doubt Silas was processing it that way. You're giving him way too much credit based off everything I've seen from him the last 2 seasons.

I dont make a habit of listening to Silas' press conferences but I did tonight. Does he always say "like" so much? Sounds like a 90s valley girl.

It has already been reported that Silas was specifically searching for the Neto matchup with either KPJ or JG.

I agree with your view, a player that wasnt hot offensively at all the entire game shouldnt take the last shot.

On the other hand another poster phase it this way.

Yes it's not great that the person that was doing poorly was shooting the final shot. It was correct move since he milked the clock, so even if the shot was a whiff/sht at least he ensures an OT.

If he makes it, that's bonus cause it's a morale booster and we win.

Whether this big brain idea was instructed by Silas, that's another story.

Oh please… not a tightass and it was fun. Nobody should take the obvious fact that it was a dumb play call to mean that I’m upset it happened. There’s a lot of really really good coaches who have been fired after one year while really bad coaches get lucky by star players like Lebron mandating they coach their team. It’s also possible to still root for KPJ to be a good Rocket for a really long time but also be honest about how good he actually is right now… which isn’t that good. But… I’d rather be lucky than good quite often.

    Terrible thread.

Silas has actually been very good this season even if you don't like his rotations.

I thought it was a design play called a wipe where Green would "wipe" his defender away from Porter, leaving Porter alone with Neto, which was a great matchup for Porter. If the other defender had stayed with Porter then he would have hit Green for the wide open 3.
